Attack on Titan did far better than COMG and indicators suggested. Not bad at all.

KanColle did alright. Ratio was terrible as expected, but it does look like they had very good sell through.

Setsuna also did better than I expected, while SFV did horrible as expected. Game is getting demolished for blocking free content for later months for no reason.

Wow hardware really sucked this week... I expected much more... :/
PS Vita only with a little bump though it had 3 big games this week. Not good...
And I have no words for PS4 sales, they even dropped a bit from last week though it had 3 big games too this week...

That is a very low number for KanColle Kai compared to the potential this game had... Man that sucks...
Street Fighter V with a horrible first week...
Dragon Quest Builders is dropping slowly.
At least Attack on Titan did well. 150k+ is a very nice number for this game, it did much better first week than the 3DS game! It would be optimal to see legs for this game too!!!
Project Setsuna isn't horrible, 60k+ is ok for a new IP.

But they didn't. How hard is it to look up the numbers?

Last week: 27,576

Oh I thought it was around 30k.
Was too lazy to look the numbers up... ^^

I think everything did pretty well except SFV I guess. Also I was thinking the PS4 was going to sell more.

its a fact PS4/PS3 games cost 27% more than the top of the line Wii U games. Splatoon costs 50$ while Attack on Titan costs 69$.

Splatoons total slaes generated 64.2$ million , while Attack on Titan generated 9.9$ Million on day 1. PlayStation would be almost always number 1 if you would calculate every week in Japan when it comes to money.

No they wouldn't, last time I checked nintendo gets most of the profits. Sony doesn't aka it's third party.

That said just look at the yearly sales, it's no contest (in terms of profits)

But it means more money for 3Rd parties.  Probably why Playstation gets better support.

OT: PlayStation has about 2/3rds of the pie and it's seriously dominating the software.  Not a bad week at all.

2DS release next week could push the DS up above 100k? Are we expecting that?

Not necessarily. Look at some of the huge sellers on 3ds. That said the argument is Sony vs nintendo in profits. Nintendo wins by a huge margin, even third party companies make more money (Japan only)

Profits weren't brought into it. Revenue was. That revenue being spread over a wider net of companies merely further increases the attraction of PlayStation platforms to 3rd parties.

Nobody knows how much profit is made on individual game sales. Yes Nintendo get more from a first party title, but they also have to pay money to develop and market that title. On 3rd party releases they just get a cut of each sale with no investment and no risk on poorer selling releases.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Disappointing first week for Street Fighter V and somewhat disappointing hardware sales for PS4. I was expecting much more with all the new releases, but oh well.

Biggest surprises:

Attack on Titan (COMG 30pts)> Kan Colle (COMG 362 pts)
Setsuna (COMG mia pts) > SFV (COMG 26 pts)

COMG really unreliable for anime and casual games.

Wii U shortages D:

Other numbers are nice though

Street Fighter V did terribly, but after hearing about it from Agry Joe and Jim Sterling that is somewhat justified in this case.

I'll join the general shrugging at Kan Colles performance. It did ok I guess.

Playstation is dominating the market these days and nintendo needs to get on that WiiU shipment. Splatoon would probably do above 10k again if there were any wiiUs to buy. The Pokken bundle shoots up Amazon.jp whenever it's available and goes out of stock again soon after. You made people finally want this thing in decent enough numbers Nintendo, now deliver please.
