Currently Im playing my games on a 24" SDTV in 4:3, I don't plan on buying an HDTV anytime soon.
that would be every wii owner.
So technically that includes me even though its my brothers Wii. When I'm playin PS360 though, its in HD.

Wow, this thread made me think of something. PAL SD is 576i/p, compared to NTSC's 480i/p. Some ps3/360 games only run in 600p (CoD4, Halo 3). The difference between 576p vs 600p is practically non-existent, so PAL users don't get much benefit from the "HD" of the HD consoles, aside from some upscaling.
Developers should really settle for no less than 720p, upscaling or not. :|

Most low end lcds stretch the image to fill the screen so that might be a problem for some people.
No HD TV yet, old tv is still working good and I don't watch tv much. I'll buy one when either it breaks down or when OLEDs become affordable.
I do. and it is fine with me. I may not get an HDTV until maybe 2011 at the earliest. Don't see why I would need one so soon.

I know a few people with PS3'S and 360's that still stay with SD. I have no desire or need for HD and I regard it as a wasteful unnecessary luxury..

riiight... if hdtv's are wasteful and unnecessary then so are most electronics.
i game on a 48 inch sdtv. i have a ps2 and a ps3. i will buy an hdtv when i can get a brand name 32 inch lcd or plasma for about $500. till then i am fine with SD though I am not silly enough to say there isn't much of a difference, because there is.
