Wii was the best console last generation.

Best selling console = Majority consider it the best console.

You are not part of the majority, no big deal.

Being best selling is very important because it will make the console even better as time goes on, as more games will be made for it and it becomes the prime platform during game development. Business follows money after all.

I think the Wii did so well because million's of younger gamer's ranging from say age 10 - 18 wanted one over a xb360 or ps3. And I think the catch was motion controls.

Best selling music does not equal best music. And so on.

For those that ask, Just look at my pic, I am very much still interested in jrpg's. My thing though is quality not just quantity. Final fantasy 15 looks good and I am looking for a star ocean anouncement. Hope Mistwalker anounce something. And then want to see more of Scalebound. Final fantasy 15 is headed for Xbo so I see Microsoft making sure the most popular Jrpg's are coming to
Xbo.

This is only true with 7th generation!
In the 5th, 6th and 8th generation the best selling console was also the best console imo.
