While PC runs the game at 60 frames. These machines got old very quickly, we still get games render under 30 frames isn't what I call next gen experience.

It seems a little unfair to blame the consoles themselves for these issues when there are several titles on both systems that look and perform much better. This is an optimization issue, not strictly a hardware one.

OT: So better on the PS4, but overall not amazing on either. It doesn't look as bad as some were trying to argue a couple of weeks ago (it's a pretty obvious upgrade over the last installment), but it's hard not to be a little disappointed. Not wanting to push the technical envelope is fine, but you should at least be hitting your performance target if you opt to go down that direction.

My biggest gripe is the fact Fallout 4 runs better on a budget PC. Optimising is very important and all companies should be doing that all the time, and if all companies do that we would barely tell the differences between the PS4 and XB1. However that doesnt change the fact that a budget PC runs FO4 better then the PS4/XB1 when i remember them saying these consoles were considered super computers in Japan.

Yeah and the ps4 and xbox one run batman arkham knight better than a 4 titan pc, whats your point? Stop derailing the thread into pc vs consoles. Bethesda is at fault here, both xbox one and ps4 dont perform what they are supposed with this more last gen looking game

Not entirely tbh, just one one or two platforms. The PC version won't really be so hamstrung in terms of performance and visuals and thanks to the modding community and fans of the franchise, it's always paid off in spades.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Thinking of getting this on Steam after holiday expenses are done with. Good to hear the PC version is solid.

0 frames? That has to be a new record.
I'm excited to get my Fallout 4 copy this thursday but I am weary of the bugs and glitches that are bound to show up at launch.

When a new game from your series performs worse or as bad as the sequels on a different generation, you know you need to step up your game by either stop being cheap and invest on a better engine or do some coding from scratch.

I knew this was going to happen from 100 miles away. And the funny thing is, it does have problems on all 3 platforms, but I'll have to read further since I just saw this mess right now.

Visuals are the same and like said they dont look very impressive, they look like last gen on all platforms including on pc. Same way with stability, i am excepting many game breaking bugs

0 fps just gives us time to catch our breath. It's easier on the eyes, too. Xbox ftw!

But why does that matter? If both consoles have shown several times in the past that they're capable of much more, then you should be directing your complaint at Bethesda, not the consoles themselves. The PC version running fine doesn't change that. When a game runs fine on consoles but very poorly on a comparable (and sometimes better) PC we don't blame the hardware, we blame the developer for releasing a sub-standard product. I don't see why we should act differently when the roles are reversed.

As for the Japan thing, that's the result on an outdated regulation rather than them thinking the PS4 is some kind of technical marvel. According to the article you linked it was last updated to 1.5tflops back in 2005. That would indeed have been a pretty damn powerful PC at the time.

On a side note, i disagree that developers properly optimizing their games would make the differences between the PS4 and X1 'barley noticeable' (outside of subjective evaluations). If anything i expect it would make the differences more apparent in some cases.
