But almost every game can easily fit on the cheapest memory card options (which an 8gb comes with nearly every bundle, and no game is larger than 8gb).

People do complain a ton about memory cards though, it's just a bit more managable with deleting as you go. Most digital only titles usually aren't huge as well.

But almost every wiiu game can easily fit on the console without any memory card option at all. Even in the 8 GB model you can still fit Super Mario 3D World, Splatoon, Captain Toad and Super Mario Maker in the same system, a 16GB game on WiiU is not the standart and still fits easily on the 32GB models, and if you happens to have the 8GB model (God knows why...) you can find quality 16GB pendrives for 7$, wich is far from the cost of Vita memory cards (45$ for 16GB)

Comparing vita memory to USB Mass storage is false equivalency, its an entirely different format and about as fair/accurate as comparing the price of a 2tb desktop hdd to the price of a 250gb USB flash drive.

Also you can pick up a 16gb vita card for $35 or less at a lot of places.

You...never had to use memory cards?

Sorry for the confusion, I meant storage as to actually play the physical game.  Yes you need memory card to save where you left off but doesnt mean you couldn't actually play the game.

With my situation with Wii U Fatal Frame, i'd actually need to buy extra storage just to play the actual game.  That's my point I was getting across.

PS2 version of FFXI required the HDD, EU never officially got the HDD for PS2 at all.

It's a fair comparison considering Sony chose to use such a bad storage format for a HH...

alright then, then the price difference between the 8gb wiiu console and the 32gb wiiu console is even worse, because for the price of that difference you could have a 1tb drive.

16gb on vita costs 3x as much for the same storage space on vita as it does on usb.

1tb costs the same as the 24gb difference in the wiiu models, conversely, the wiiu storage differece costs 41x more than the equivolent space on a HDD.

Goes both ways dude.

Same pre-order and very excited - but I think this is only a limited edition release - there is no normal edition and it went sold out twice on Game site - on Nintendo site went sodl out right away!

Then really what's the problem? People can get the 8GB model and a 1 TB HD, or for the convenience they can get a 32 GB console and spend a little more. Heck, if they get a refurb and buy a used external HD they can probably get out the door for around the price of a new 8GB model Wii U

Just seen this on Nintendo Life, ive not watched it myself as im trying to avoid any spoilers, thought i would post anyway for anyone who does

Everyone should take a few things into account as well.

1: It rated a 33/40 on Famitsu, the same score they gave Crimson Butterfly and Silent Hill 3, the best of those series. While this obviously doesn't mean it WILL be as good as those games, but it does show that the rating it got isn't below par for games in this genre... Great games at that.

2: It has the highest maturity rating out of the entire series. Pretty much leads to the fact that they aren't pulling any punches or trying to make it family friendly in any way.

3: The atmosphere in this game is AMAZING! Just look at some of these screenshots

which leads to

4: It's one of the best looking games on the Wii U. This and Bayo 2 are probably the most detailed, and graphically the best "realistic" styled games you are going to find on the Wii U, and both games are absolutely stunning to look at.
