What? The abomination? Do you mean Star Fox Zero is an abomination?

Yeah. It looks terrible.

Xenoblade "looked" terrible too. Typically, (and this is just my personal way of doing things) I wait until I actually.. you know.. play a game before commenting on it's merit.

Oh and, what about Splatoon? You can't even play the game without the gamepad lol. That would be a problem.

Yes you can.

You can not play online multiplayer without it... as in... Nintendo doesn't allow it. That's all I meant. So if the gamepad was removed, you couldn't play that game unless Nintendo redesigned the entire expereince and sent a patch down.

From what I've seen and played, only Mario Maker does. Not Splatoon, and definitely not the abomination.

Good thing there is not an abomination on that list then! :D

Fatal Frame V uses the gamepad pretty freaking well though.

But thats the thing, there are far to few games where you can say, yes the game would not work without the gamepad.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

On the contrary, why not make the game pad even more integral, and redesign it so that more can be used at a time, meanwhile make it cheaper itself

You hardly require the gamepad. The map should've been placed on the TV, and the only reason it's on the gamepad is because of a desperate attempt from Nintendo to justify the gamepad. Gyro aiming isn't exactly a must. Besides, unbundling the gamepad doesn't mean to discontinue it. Just sell it as a peripheral. Heck, you could still have an SKU where the gamepad is bundled.

However.... It's too late. Nintendo should've unbundled it a long time ago.

It´s not a fucking desperate attempt of nothing, it´s a logical and intuitive choice, the gamepad makes Splatoon way more fast and dinamic than already is, they need each other, it would be way less fun and accesible without the gyro controls and  jumping to your friends would require to stop the game, put a list of your teammates in your face, and chose one of them with the stick,  making you lose 15 seconds easily on a game where the matches are 3 minutes long. And the missile would be even worse, stop the game, put a map on your face, and chose with the dpad the exact point you want it to fall, another 15 seconds lost when in the gamepad you just tap and that´s it.

Teeqoz already answer that perfectly, but seriously, can you not consider the wii remote? Just inmagine, just click a designated button, big map on the screen shows up and point and click where you want to go. Thats like 2-3 seconds, top. The gamepad in this game is not being used in any inovative or necesary way.

But is really well used and is heavily implemented, they should make a big patch in order to be able to play the game without it and people playing without it would be in disadvantage because the gamepad makes everything faster and more clear, the mix between the wii remote controls with a normal gamepad and a second tactil screen supports the gameplay of the game to a point where any other option would be a downgrade.

What else?

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Some people dont understand that there some games that are not playable at all without gamepad and same other would need big patches and great work in order to work without gamepad.

So just look only games from this year that you cant play without gamepad at all: Toads Treasure Tracker (I am from Europe), Mario Party 10, Kirby, Super Mario Maker, Star Fox Zero and Fatal Frame V.

I can't see any real problem with Wii U gamepad. It comfy, light, expands gaming experience with second screen and motion features.

You forget off-tv play. :)
