Just like the original FFVII, it released on PS1 first and then ported to PC. PS/PC
Plus, there is the prequel on PSP, Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core.
I think FFVIIR will be the same. Released on PS4 first, and then ported to PC. PS/PC

| IamAwsome said: I seriously don't see why the game wouldn't come to XB1. Final Fantasy 13 sold well enough to prove that there is a fanbase on Xbox. 13-2 didn't sell very well, but that was likely a reaction to the first game being a terrible game. The audience is definitely there. World of Final Fantasy coming to other platforms is a better question. |
Read what Aura said :P. I was going to say what he said, but he put it so eloquently.

Is there even demand for it on the Xbox side of things? The whole debate always struck me as just one to devalue Sonys E3, rather than actually wanting the game. I can't help but fall over people saying how rubbish Shenmue series and Final Fantasy 7 was good a million years ago, but now its a fossil, then finishing with "but they are coming to xbox one anyway." I look forward to the days of a single format, because this gen is bound to go down in history as the nastiest most toxic one, where nothing was made to be loved and enjoyed, but was simply a weapon to be used in a petty bit of mind controlled consumerism.

Yeah, there is no real demand on xbox side ( and i think FF XV sales will show that, i dont think the game will even break 1M, just helped by marketing and incredible visuals in an open world), because if you like FF you are a jrpg fan, and if you are a jrpg fan, you own a PS4 anyway
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m
probably PC, I think XB1 is still in the air; the sales disparity between Type-0 was pretty large in favor of the PS4, plus the install base isn't what it is last gen. MS had a sizable JRPG install base because at their push of JRPG's like Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia, ect. that's not the case this gen, PS4 has basically already cemented itself as the JRPG this gen and that's not going to change.
I think the only possible way this comes to XB1 is dependent on how well FF XV and KH3 do on XB1 and the overall install base; and I already have my doubts with Kh3 as the Xbox platform has never had the KH game on the console(unless S-E does a collection set for PS4/XB1) and with FF XIII despite the 360 having a greater install base the PS3 still outsold the 360 version handily now with the PS4 having the greater install base might diminish the sales of the XB1 version as well
Kagari on NeoGAF already confirmed Sony is helping with the funding. It will never come to XB1. PC is likely.
It's another SFV situation.
Ff7 remake will come to the xbox one and if people use common sense, they know it will as well. Also for ppl saying cause sony is helping with the funding to ff7 remake that it wont ever come to xbox one is delusional to say the least. Why, simple . Because ms helped fund rottr and its coming to ps4 holiday 2016. This situation is no different as well, also there is a rpg fanbase on xbox platform , yes a rpg will always sell more on a playstation system since its a noted genre for that system.
But for all the negativity towards a platform not getting a game , because u dont think the other platform deserves it is just plain childish.
GAMERTAG IS ANIMEHEAVEN X23
PSN ID IS : ANIMEREALM
PROUD MEMBER OF THE RPG FAN CLUB THREAD
ALL-TIME FAVORITE JRPG IS : LOST ODYSSEY
FF7 Remake probably would sell 1-2 million on the XBox One + Nintendo NX (assuming it can even run the game).
At $20-$30 profit a pop ... that's quite a bit of money to just leave on the table. Plus Square-Enix could probably get MS to cave and offer maybe some money-hats to ensure a quicker release on the XB1.
I think it probably makes sense for them. And it's honestly good for gamers, this remake is something that's pretty big and should be available to everyone if the platform can run it.
PC version seems extremely likely these days. Not so confident in an X1 version, though.
4 ≈ One
The reality:
Using VGcharts numbers (Xbox One : PS4) these ratios are rounded
Tomb Raider Definite Edition: (1 : 3) PS4 Favor
Final Fantasy Type-0: (1 :7) PS4 Favor (more than doubled)
Both franchise sell more on the PS4, the Xbox One fanbase is shunning RPG's. Even western RPGs with exclusive marketing deals are doing worse on the Xbox One. That is the reality, that is why this situation is different. The latest preorder data makes things look much worse for Xbox One.
