If this were 10 years ago the answer would be yes, except I don't think we had kickstarter in 2005. Now Sega is a shadow (no pun intended) of their former self.

No. There is no value anymore in Sega. And we don't need another console. It would be really redundant.

I don't know why, but I hate these kickstarter or crowd funded projects. However, if Sega did make a new console that was on par or better than an X1 or PS4 then I might support it because I've always liked Sega's consoles. The Saturn is my favorite console.

It was a shadow of itself in 2005. Now it's just a dried up, beaten down, empty husk of a company with nostalgia and loyalty from fans keeping it afloat the same way a dead body rises to the water's surface.

Wouldn't contribute much. Their handling of their consoles post-Genesis/Megadrive does not give me much faith in them. Not to mention their valued IPs which have been run into the ground... They would need MUCH more than 10 million by the way.

Why would I support a console when Sega probably wouldn't support it with games? I wouldn't even buy a sega console if it was equal to a PS4 in terms of hardware.

Even though I am extremely opposed to the idea of these big companies using Kickstarter, I really, really want a new console from Sega. I would support them.
