2 years is low? Erm, ok then.

Again: For a new retail IP in the 8th gen? Yes, definitely.

I don't know why that is so surprising to peple on here, I thought most guys here had a somewhat solid idea of game development times.

Maybe they are using some Microsoft game assets / games to speed up the process. Last of us for example used a lot of things from the uncharted series. So it Probably didn't take them long to make it.

TLoU took 3.5 years to make.

True, but TLoU isn't going to be the same as ReCore. ReCore might be simpler and less story base. I mean if you compare metroid prime and TLOU I gurantee you metroid is simpler and easier to make over all.

I trust Keiji Inafune, his games are all very good!

How do we even know this is a big game? It could just be a AA game or something.

I don't see the problem really, we don't even know how big the game will be. Th environment look like it will be mostly in a desert, the art style doesn't look like it's complicated to make and for all we know maybe it's just an other game rebranded so some of the assets may have already been maybe and put on old. gg

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Seems like a long enough time for me .

We don't, that's what I'm actually wondering with this thread. I have strong doubts that an AAA new IP can be done in just 2 years, so maybe it's more AA or even digital only. Saw it being called AAA in some places on the internet though, but I guess that're just people making assumptions.

Somehow, I have no idea what Recore is.

Looks like some people are taking things too seriously.
