So after the FF7 remake announcement I have been giddy as hell. Something I've been doing is watching everything FF related esp FF15. And then it hit me SE have been making a game for PS4 for quite some time so they should have a very good grasp on how the PS4 operates and what it can handle. In addition alot of the monsters/summons/themes are similar throughout the FF universe, add to that FF15 has a similar art to that of 7 (advent children) and you would think they would have alot of assets that they could use or tweak. And lastly they already have a foundation for the game in the original. So what do you think? Is it gonna be here 16?17?18? IMO it should be released NLT holiday 2017.

Edit: I would also like to add, I think this is setting them up nicely for a FF7 sequal 

They already been working on it, said so them selves. Its not like its just begun. Characters art work story is all done, So that will save some time.

2017 is a fair wager. With FF15 in 2016

It's not that simple. They are going to have rewrite major portions of the game for it to work with their current engine. It going to be like making an entirely new game. I don't doubt they may use some environmental art from 15 but they are still going to have to make many art assets that are 7 specific.

From what I've read they are aiming for 2017 to hit the 20 year anniversary.

After the PS4 gets it.

2017 is my bet, I said that back in 2007 to a friend that they will release it that year. 

Not gonna lie that made me chuckle.

@Azerth think the are really just focusing on one platform for now just to get it out ya know, then when they get some breathing room work on a port.

Having predicted the release for the 20th anniversary on the 10th anniversary would be awesome lol

My bet is on 2017 too. The siliconera rumor mentionned 20th anniversary and until now, it proved true.
