Forums - Gaming - So... Who won E3?

Which one?

Microsoft 445 24.86%

Sony 1,344 75.08%

Total:1,789

I don't even know what MS had to compete. The b/c? So people can at least play the old X360 waiting for the nearly non existent XB1 exclusives? Gears apart, sure. Or an over expensive controller?

The most anticipated FF VII Remake, at least timed exclusive and probably console exclusive, The Last Guardian, Horizon, World of Final Fantasy, Media Molecule's Dream and the rest wiped the exibition.

This isnt even a competition. Sony's press conference was one of the most legendary E3 conferences of all time.

There is no but's and if's. Last guardian, FF7R and Shenmue 3. Power to the gamers, greatness did come. Backwards compatibility came too late to even make a dent on that.

I think if people are quoting BC as the news of the show, that kinda shows how boring the other announcements of the show were to them. I thought it was a great PR peice, but it's about the games - new games.... I mean I dont see how anyone can get excited about getting FO4 and getting FO3 last gen for free is that exciting. People knock remasters but playing a game that generally played crap is now suddenly amazing? I loved FO3, but I would rather much prefer a remaster of it than having to play the original again (and I 100% completed it).

It seems people assumed that because of BC, MS were going to get the Won the show comments, and are peeved that Sony did alot for fan service and basically pulled a much better show because of it (even if their 2015 xmas exclusives are wafer thin).

What with the massive 3rd party games dropping from September onwards I dont think Sony have as much to worry about this year compared to last (which to be fair was quite boring in terms of big games), FO4, Battlefront and Mad Max and a few other games is going to make for an awesome xmas, if Sony can get No Mans Sky and some other secondary games to drop, and they have UC collection... dont think it matters that I cannot play Forza, Halo HD, Fable and Gears HD and Tomb Raider, for me it's not really that strong a line up. Tomb Raider is the biggest game out of the lot and it's not bigger than FO4, BF, AC and COD. I'll probably still spend about £250 on games over Xmas, and I know people want to play the numbers games but there are not a lot of people out there who are going to spend over £250 on games. Most people I know who moved from XBox to PS4 buy very few exclusives anyway, and dont buy lots of games.

Sony playing the long game and supporting the console for the year, while MS seem soley focussed on Xmas when really they need to spread their games out because people will buy more 3rd party than 1st at Xmas.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

No wonder Sony congratulated Micro on their conference. When they saw it was over, Adam Boils (or whatever he does to spell that) must have been screaming in Kevin Harts voice, "Oh you don't even know....It's about to go doooown."...(after EA and Ubi and a 1 hour break)

Thanks jlmurph!

Sony won in my opinion, though Microsoft's was good to. That Rare collection might tempt me to buy a XBOne as a second system early.

This conversation is irrelevant until Nintendo goes. Nintendo either fails miserably at E3 or blows the others out of the water. We shall see which type of year this will be...

Nintendo has to at least break the internet like Sony did. VGC down, Kickstarter down, Gaf down.

Thanks jlmurph!

Dude B/C on the Xbox One was literally broken. Mass Effect was running at what 20fps. They didn't continue playing Mass Effect for long since it was pretty much a broken experience and would reduce the hype for Xbox B/c significantly. You won't be playing any "AAA" title released on the Xbox 360 post-2010 on the Xbox One any day soon, that's for sure.

That isn't a good indicator of how bad BC is on Xbox One. Mass Effect 1 always ran that bad on consoles.

They had 17 other games which they could have shown. So why didn't they show any of the others!

Microsoft did great this year and have a great lineup, but Sony's conference fulfilledmore than half of the known major gaming wishes. FFVII Remake, Shenmue 3, and Last Guardian were all things that seemed like they would never happen. I can only think of one more major gaming wish.

Microsoft showed games that were more interesting to me like Halo 5. Good job on Sony's end on finally getting to show the Last Guardian.
