A lot of gamers today grew up when the console wars were at their most heated, and these poor people have been bullshitted by their console's corresponding company into believing that any of it was for their benefit.
I refuse to believe, for example, that the experience of playing Halo on an xbox would be diminished at all by the knowledge that people on playstation also get to play it.

In a perfect world, we'd all get along.....bla bla blah. Bla. Blah Bla.It's not gonna happen. People have personal tastes so therefore they will not like every game or console and play everything. It's wishful thinking for the impossible. Look at what happens often with sport fans. They might as well bring their mouth pieces to the game or to the bar just in case.

People discuss, argue, debate and converse about their hobbies. This is video game sales tracking site with a forum. There's nothing wrong with it. We're actually very well behaved compared to other gaming forums thanks to the mods and to the community. Some people just get carried with trying to win a debate by using personal attacks and that's where the mods set them straight. 

I'm honestly satisfied with the forum for the most part. Some more features would be nice. I just wish the numbers would come in on a regular basis but shit happens. No big deal for me.

Because different demogtaphics enjoy different games.

If I don't play most shooters, Arcade racers, MMO's or RTS', it's not out of some childish spite; I quite simply don't enjoy those genres much.
We should not confuse preference with spite, that leaves us with a highly faulty image of consumers and gamers in general.

Most people saying that are... children and teenagers.
That's quite a funny thing actually, nowadays teenagers hate Nintendo and play COD and GTA games, while the adults and parents play Nintendo games :p

The question is: Why do you care what other people enjoy?

I respect the opinions of the fans of all genres.

Except for the fans of racing sims. Those people are whacked out psychos.

The only genre I don't play is sports and that's because i'm just not a fan of sports games. That doesn't mean that it's any less of a game.

I don't get what joy people get from bashing other consoles or games either. Oh well, all you can do is enjoy the things you like and not mind the others so much, I guess.
