That has nothing to do with it. There are still too many Japanese players that have not made the jump. It was just recently announced the install base just hit 1.5 on PS4. PS4 only would definitely curb sales where its most important for Bamco.

I am well aware of the obvious economic reasons. But most people who complain about cross gen do so because they believe a game would benefit from being 8th gen only.  While that can certainly be the case, my points was that Tales games don't even push the PS3 so it's not like there would be any gains from going PS4.  Therefore, there's no real reason to complain about it being cross gen only; it being 8th gen only wouldn't accomplish much if anything.

I'm huge tales fan, but I really hope this pushes the franchise forward and has massive world to boot, the last couple of sort gone a bit more smaller in scope to what I am use to. (I don't know if Zesteria or whatever it was called), changes that formula.

From what I saw Zesteria looks to be what you wanted in scope overall. Reminded me of Xenoblade actually.
