PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m
Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

I'm just really not sure there's enough meat on the bones to justify all that prep and cooking. Like the only reason you'd be eating it would be to punish it for all the cawcawing and harrasing of cats they do. Which is fine...but it's not really going to be aware and your victory will be hollow, unsatisfying, and just done to spite the damn thing.
Regarding PwrlvAmy's statement that the internet is full of those two kinds of people...I see your point, but I think the internet is comprised of much more than that. Most just don't have the care to voice their opinions, or they don't fit into the neat boxes we try to put them in.
Regarding TBone suggesting that this is a SOFTWARE thread...fine...I'll buy that...but the overall tone of anything WiiU or Nintendo- based is on the HARDWARE, whether we like it or not. I see you changed your thread title which definitely simmers down the content. It's definitely worth a celebration, I just hope Nintendo has something just as epic planned for this E3. It's certainly wonderful to see a product go from nowhere to hype to great sales. At least they are recognizing their audience and giving them something fresh.

That's true. :D
I expect low sales especially Japanese gaming isn't that good but the reception of the Japs with this new IP is really good. And good HW sales for the Wii U too.
I've said a few times on other Splatoon thread that I'm not buying this game but after the test fire I wanted to play more and it is really addicting. My daughter and wife loves to play the battle dojo and my wife is getting better each time. So +1 sales in NoA
Very nice Japanese sales!
I see it also reached No2 in the UK behind Witcher 3 which is higher than I expected, though Eurogamer did say considering the marketing push they may be disappointed with failing to beat 2nd week sales of another title.
I'm not sure 1m will be as fast as OP anticipates. But it's certainly a very well received new IP. And, the game could continue to exceed my expectations which would be nice, as it will hopefully push Ninty towards more new IPs in different genres.

Good post!
ITS TOO APPEALING & fun & unique not to deserve sales of AT LEAST 3m LT imho.
I think we can see 1.5m of it happen by end of the year. maybe even 2m.
