Now the Scorpio is aimed big at DX12 and supports pre-calculated instructions backed in the chip and when utalized correctly can run DX12 games around 50% faster on a cpu front, this will indeed make for better games. Smoother experience and all DX12 benefits.

Not just that but since Scorpio is aimed to help developers and has all the big engines pre-optimized developers will have an easier time porting their games to the console making for better games.

4K will make for a better image but the Scorpio will help developers get the best and better version of their game to our living rooms

IM fine with the specs of Scorpio but idk how it's supposed to run Scorpio2 games down the line with that CPU. Unless all games are dx12 and that magic sauce is legit.

also I'm wondering about price. I always figured with zen/vega it would be a 650$ or more to manufacture so it might have been smart to go with Polaris/jag. My estimates below
• gpu 230$ for rx480
• 50$ for CPU
• 75$ for hard drive and blue ray player
• 80$ for memory
• 50$ for cooling(complete guess)
• 12$ to assemble
•75$for everything else
That's 572$ maybe I'm over estimating or ms can get some big discounts but I think this thing is going to cost 500$ which is a lot for Polaris/jag if you ask me. Before I went over the cost of some stuff I thought it would be 400 or 449 but now I'm gunna stick with 500. Anything more would be suicide.

edit. Thinking about the slim, it's probably going to be 249$ really soon and the only big difference between it and Scorpio is the ram and gpu. So maybe less than 500 retail is possible.

Btw I'm only moderately(at best) tech knowledgeable so anyone feel free to tell me I'm over or under on price.

If MS can do what they did with the Scorpio when they looked at XB1 games and built the Scorpio to run them netter with Scorpio 2 then the Scorpio should be able to run Scorpio 2 games.

Maybe Scorpio will stop to be a 4k machine when Scorpio 2 releases so that it will be able to run the awesome looking Scorpio 2 games just in 1080p lol.

Yeah, I doubt UHD drives are that much more expensive to produce even though they cost a lot for us. The players may need some more power or something but that does the console in MS's case. Maybe some other parts to read the layers but they just ask for so much more because they know it's niche and people interested in UHD pay the extra price. They are after all those who went out that early to buy a 4k TV and UHD movies.

lol that won't happen. Usually the discounts for "new" games are not nearly big enough to compete with retail.
