Forums - Gaming - Why all this negativity about Sony, all of a sudden?

First of all, this is my first thread, so please be patient and forgive me if I make some mistakes while making it. Also, I hope that this topic won't bring heated discussions, so please make civil comments, thank you.

Now, back on topic!

I can't help but feel how much negativity grew around Sony recently in this forum. And I honestly can't understand why. Sony recently released three exclusives in the first part of the year, two of them are new IPs and Bloodborne is considered by most people a masterpiece. Not to mention that PS4 still has most exclusives and therefore more games than the competition (I'm talking about Microsoft). Yet people keep complaining about how Sony first party output is insufficient (not that the competiton did better) or that they keep delaying games (like everybody do). And know, coupled with the fact that Xbox One won the last NPD, the same people expect nothing but disappointment from Sony during E3 and fireworks from Microsoft, just because Spencer has to tweet even when he goes to the toilet

To those people: chill out.

Everyone knows that all of Sony's studios are working on new games, you don't have to be afraid of losing your investment. Tons of games will come for your console of choice when the time is right. Surely Sony too will have surprises for this E3. Now all of a sudden is essential to have all the huge, expensive AAA exclusive titles for the holiday season? While risking that your games don't sell well because of the many and great third party titles that are coming out? Is it so different to play Uncharted 4 four, five months later, just to make an example?

Please share your opinions.

LOL. Well sony is going to be silent killer and seems like they are good at keeping secrets this time but Microsoft E3 already very clear by some leaks and their roadmap of this year except Rare new IP thats rumoured.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

For the second half of the year, Sony's line up is horrible compared to Microsoft. No one is wrong about that.

There is a ton of games coming out the second half of the year for Sony.  Believe it or not, a game doesn't have to be exclusive to physically exist.  Same goes for those complaining about the X1's lack of games for the first part of the year.

Also, complaining about the lineup for the second half of the year before E3 will most likely come back to bite you.   A lot of plans for the later part of the year aren't revealed until then for all the game companies.

I've noticed some negativity, but not a ton. I'm not super observant, though. Yeah, the second half of the year isn't amazing for PS4 (1st party-wise), but I'm ok with the delays for the big AAA games like UC4 if it means better quality output. I'll play the multiplats in the meantime.

I think the first half of the year was awesome for PS4. Some humongous games released; some were a smash and some were not as good, but there was plenty to play. First party studios have been a bit quiet, but I have no doubt that the games will come.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

Btw sony is going to announce Bloodborne expansion for Hollidays, Tearaway, Until Dawn, Shadow of the Beast, No mans sky(Timed but only PS4 has this game for Holidays), Alienation, Rime(posisbly), everybody gone to the rapture, Kill stain(F2P, may be), Tomorrow children, UC trilogy rumored, may be GT7(surprise) or another new game. They have great first quarter of 2014 so from holidays they can have great momentum with new linup coming up in 3 months and PS4 VR in early 2016. They also going to cut to $299 this year to bundle PS4 VR and PS4 to 500-600$ combined.

What would you say if Sony announced the FFVII port was free for everyone as a token of appreciation during the e3 event. By free... i mean truly free -- Like PvZ Garden warfare was during the PSX.

Do you think this would be enough... or would people (XB1 fans) just say "Not an exclusive.. doesn't count"?

why does it matter just avoid the thread or posts that post hate against your fav company. its why most of us xbox fans stay in the empire thread

Haven't noticed anywhere near enough the negativity they deserve. Not sure what OP's on.

Sony is taking the home console market this gen as they did in 5th and 6th gen. So those opposing camps are not happy. And Sony has mismanaged first party games release. So Sony supporters are not happy. Everyone is angry.

Because the smoke is starting to clear.
