Maybe they're afraid this game won't have high sales the opening month so they're trying to force everyone to play with each other. If so, I'm not sure if that's a great way to handle it.

Hey guys, really, where do they say that you can´t play with friends or that you cant make lobbys with friends? Like... where??

"The last thing that stood out to us was user customization. Splatoon doesn’t offer custom match types with friends like Smash Bros."

NO CUSTOMIZATION ON THE MATCHeS, THAT´S ALL.

I think people are really misunderstanding this.

Yeah, I don't really understand what kind of "custom matches" people were expecting...The only thing you could really do is limit a game to a specific weapon and that really doesn't seem fun @.@

Oh people were whining on the internet when a magazine told us there was only one online mode in Splatoon. Of course everyone misunderstood the article. Except me, I actually had enough common sense to know they were talking about there only being 4 vs. 4 player battle modes.

What customization were you guys expecting? Please, do tell.

Fiuuuu! thanksfully I read it xD, because I was actually sad with the comments T_T, hope it really has online with friends 7-7
