Another Sony making up some bullshit in order to troll the Wii U? How ironic how your sig says "PS4" when the PS4 has only one good game. Handful of games isn't enough and yet one game is good for you? Fuck off you lying troll.

Funny considering the PS4 has the largest game library out of all the 8th generation consoles despite being on the market a whole year less than the Wii U.

PS4 has more games, yes.

But he wasn't claiming wii u has more games. He claimed wii u has better games, and though this might change in the future, I say he is absolutely right.

Wii U is a commercial failure, but it has some great games and Nintendo will keep on supporting it for some time. Zelda will be Wii U and they'll announce some more new Wii U games as well. It won't be dead next year.

I disagree. We're still getting XCX, Splatoon, Devil's 3rd, Star Fox, Mario Maker, and whatever unannounced stuff is coming. This isn't including stuff like Rodea the Sky Soldier and Project Cars. Having one game pushed back isn't really abandoning the console. If it was half done and unpolished, anti Nintendo fanboys would be screaming about that next. If the delay makes a better game then what's the issue?

-facepalm- you people xD Wii U has atleast 2 years left of games. Sometime at this year they will release mutiple games for 2016, and this post would seem pointless, hmm. Wii U will be active until 2017 or 2018. NX is not what you guys think, like the NEXT big nintendo home console. I think its a fusion of both. We just gotta see and find out :) People who think Wii U is doomed lmao xD No its not

I think for Nintendo to truly 'leave the Wii U to die' they would have to be releasing broken game after broken game just to make a quick buck. They would have to release a bad Zelda game this year just to ensure that Wii U sales aren't completely in the toilet. They wouldn't be making Splatoon or Xenoblade Chronicles X, but rather countless Mario and Zelda spinoffs, so every title is a guaranteed million seller.

That, to me, would be leaving the Wii U to die. Just my opinion, of course.

Maybe they realized that euthanasia was the way to go... Life support was costing them too much.

I have sold my wii u before months. My opinion: A handful of games a year is not enough.

The next nintendo console can maybe play WiiU-games, i think.
That would be cool.

But then you wouldn't be able to play games that rely on the gamepad.

I think that would be more milking it until it's dry. Leaving it to die implies more that they are leaving it alone and just focusing their efforts elsewhere, so basically what Sony are doing with the Vita.

I guess that's true.

In that case, I don't see how Nintendo is leaving the Wii U to die at all. They're the only ones supporting it, really. It's pretty much the complete opposite of the Vita's situation. I mean, I don't think they handled the situation the best from the get go, but y'know.

what the fuck...

i swear that just last week i was seeing the usual nintendo is amazing, wii u has the best games, no other console can compete... blah blah blah

and now all it takes is the delay of one game, one game to inspire a damn lynch mob against nintendo? seriously?

At one point during the Wii gen, they were making $5 billion a year. I don't expect them to bleed money, just reinvest a decent portion of their profits.

What do you consider a decent amount?  Cause spending money without any hope of a return on that investment tends to get executives fired.  Nintendo has lasted this long by being a conservative company.  The money they made during the Wii generation keeps them alive when things like the Wii U happen.  Financially, they're better off using that money on things like NX, their mobile plans, Amiibo, etc.

As a fan, I see limited value in third party games.  So far, there have been precisely one third party game (Dead Rising 3) that I wanted to play, but couldn't play on my Wii U or last gen systems.  So, I don't think that would have been a good use of money.  To get a decent ROI, Nintendo would have to take charge in funding a TON of third party content, which would be difficult to arrange (companies aren't thrilled in giving up control of their IP, or going exclusive if they don't have to), and expensive.

They made a lot of mistakes with the Wii U, but dumping more money into it wasn't going to help matters.

This reflects my feelings as well. Nintendo *could* get competitive in the third party sector, but it would require an immense amount of effort and money, to the point where they're better off doing something else good for gamers with that money.

Some third party support comes, grudgingly, when Nintendo systems sell well. That's the kind of support they should be looking for: "we're selling so well third parties have to come to us or risk pissing off their investors."
