I'm surprised how lively this thread became. Ninety something posts between when I was offline and when I logged back in. I'm inclined to agree with KLXVER on some things. I buy a new console to play new games, not play games from the previous gen. I generally don't buy remastered games because of that. If they remastered games from PS2 era or older, I would probably get it. I'm not gonna knock others for buying remastered games. Some might of missed the game when it was out or they want to keep playing the same stuff.
So much "Fuck what everyone else might like and want. Everything should be about ME ME ME and what I WANT!" in this thread.

I just don't see why instead of choosing not to buy something you want to TAKE AWAY the option from other. People like you, instead of simply not buying something and waiting for your new games want to remove options and choices to the rest of the population because you don't like it.

The question I have to ask is, if the reason for all these remasters is to allow newcomers to enjoy, why aren't they titles they can download in their original format? Like purchasing the PS3 version of The Last of Us on PSN from your PS4.

Then the question I have to ask is why aren't some of these newer remastered titles part of the PS4 digital upgrade program? I mean Injustice: Gods Among Us was included, what's the reason for TLoU and Tomb Raider not being a part of that program?
I think remasters are a good concept; they give new gamers a chance to play some of the older hits through the lens of modern technology. Some of them though, like The Last of Us Remastered, feel more like ports to the newer consoles just marketed as something more. To me, the latter do a disservice to the concept.
It doesn't matter what we think. The free decides, and the free market has decided that people fucking love remasters lol
