The can on PSNow...

I'd much rather buy the actual game than rely on PSNow, especially if it's something I'd actually be interested in.

The play it on the PS3...

It has never been to this degree before. If you truly have been gaming for 30 years, you know that damn well.

The PlayStation Classics HD series for the PS3 would like to have a word with you.

Also this.

If you are ok with these Remasters, then you should be ok with microtransactions and lazy DLC as well, since you dont HAVE TO buy it.

Non sequitur. Being fine with one thing does not entail being fine with the others. That being said, I don't have a problem with DLC in an of itself, including microtransactions. I personally never had a desire to spend much on DLC, but I don't hate the idea. The only DLC I've ever bought was map packs for Halo games and now also the DLC packs for Mario Kart 8. I never felt the urge to bother with anything else, except maybe single-player expansions. I don't think DLC is always done right, and sometimes it's exploitative and abusive, but the concept in general isn't inherently undesirable. If it affects my gameplay experience, then I'll have something to complain about, but so far DLC hasn't affected me personally, and it doesn't seem to have had a negative effect on the industry.

I dont buy these year old remasters, but that doesnt stop them from getting released, now do they? I voted with my wallet and it did fuck all.

You don't buy them, they don't affect you, and there's no evidence they're negatively affecting the industry, so why get pissed off about it? I don't like Call of Duty, so I don't buy it. I also don't go online and complain about it because the existence of COD does not affect me or how I enjoy my hobby in any way.

Some people have too much money and have no clue what to spend it on, thats the problem. They ruin it for the rest of us.

How so? How does me buying TLOU: Remastered for my PS4 instead of spending more by buying a PS3 (which I don't have) to play the original PS3 version hurt your or anyone else's gaming experience in any way, shape, or form?

Too many questions. I dont like Remasters to all of them.

Well how about they make sure they get it right the first time?

Because many other people don't care about all these compromises as long as the games run on their outdated hardware they cling to. I hate this "one size fits all"-attitute of many console gamers.

And before you say "Then they shouldn't have release these games on the old hardware in the first place if they can't get it right": why can't there be two different groups? Some who are willing to play these crossgen titles on their old hardware with compromises and some who don't mind to spend a few bucks more Or wait a few months longer for an experience with less compromises?

Because the remasters are usually of great games that ran well to begin with!

"Ran well" is a very subjective opinion. As I said, some people have higher standards than others and the expectations tend to grow over the years.

If the old version of these games are still good enough for you, then lucky you: nobody is forcing you to buy the enhanced version.

I finished the games last gen, so i have no interest in remake. Examples: tlou, Gta5. I bought tloa again (after selling the ps3 version) but i lost interest after 2 hours, so i sold this version for ps4 too. I will never buy a remaster again. I heard ff10 will be remade again. I think the ps2 version is still fine. And then the ps3 and 4? No thank you. And dark souls 2 again? No no.
For me: only new ips. I am no friend if remakes (i hated it already with shadow of the colossus and ff10 on ps3)

I don't want to play on PS3 anymore.  Want to have as few consoles as possible and don't want to have to set up one just to play a game.

Then use the PS4 BC....oh wait...

If they have such high standards they would never touch consoles to begin with...

You only know black and white, 1 and 0, nothing between, right?

and you only know what Sony tells you, right?

It's almost silly how gamers don't use their heads at times.

The 8th generation consoles(PS4 & X1) are NOT backwards compatible with the 7th generation's software.

There were HUNDREDS of games released on the 7th generation of consoles and many of these games are good games.

It would be quite inconvenient to have to keep the old console around just to play the old games.

Therefore, these remasters/ports simply open up opportunities for us to play the old games on our new consoles. In fact, I hope all 7th generation software gets the remaster treatment or simply get ported over to the 8th gen in order to have all games I would like to play available to me buy on my console of choice.
