Even the final release versions will have issues. Both of these consoles are already being pushed beyond their limits. Its a bummer that 1080p and 60 fps is mainly the realm of PC gaming.

How fitting your username is to this post. It's just a bunch of numbers and you won't be able to tell by playing it.

Isn't it struggling to reach a locked 30fps? I can't see how 60 fps would be possible. Locked 30 fps would probably nicer than an unlocked fps anyway.

Ryse: Son of Rome is 900p on my console and it's still the best looking game I have ever played.

I know it's disappointing, but I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

It's more of a big deal on paper than in real life.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I just hope the framerate is solid like a rock, they should take all the time they need to polish the game to death (not like they have a bad track record in this regard). I've waited almost 10 years for this game, I can wait more.

right click -> view image, and even zoom in about seven times to get the idea of what it'd look like on an HDTV.

Difference in jaggies (would be more pronounced on an HDTV) Look at his arm. The jaggies in the 900p version are more pronounced and obtrusive. Jaggies distract from gameplay in my opinion. Especially in games with a lot of foilage (causes flickering.)

Difference in clarity (would be even more pronounced on an HDTV.) Look at SPQR on the post and look at the warriors next to it. Less of a deal for me personally, but still some people like a sharp, crisp image.

Ok so since res and framerate doesnt matter why does X1 and PS4 fans argue about it so much??, and thats only 900P vs 1080P, here where talkiing sub 720P vs over 1080P res for most people.

So Clarly its an important expect to a games visuals as 1080P is giving you a much crisper image compared to 720P. Plus its not that hard to push FF13 to 4k and downsample to 1080P and it looks great with not a jaggie in sight and really shows of the textures and other effects that would of been harder to notice on the consoles with such low res's. And im pretty sure FF15 will make better use of peoples high end GPU's on PC .

And only 3rd rate JRPG's come to steam? Since when has the FF series been a 3rd rate JRPG? And yes you can say "Well they have only released the old games" but thats cos atm they have no new game to launch until FF15 launchs!! and trust me that will be on PC. What classic FF games has SE released on PS4 within the last year? its getting FF10 HD (Also most likely going to come to PC) and got the steam re release of FF7 on it with rumors that the steam version of FF13 will be coming to PS4 too.

Like other users your looking at PC gaming from the past instead of seeing just whats been going on lately with it and how it has been changing soo much within the last 2 years alone.

When was the last time we had a MGS game on PC?? it was a long time ago with MGS2 now we have MGS:GS on it looking way better then it did on consoles and we have MGS5:PP launchin at the same time as consoles. How long ago was it when you seen so many Japan style games launching on PC?? now we have lots of them coming constintly With even Rumors of Namco porting their latest Tales of game to PC that will be 2 huge name JRPG series on PC. Also you talk about 3rd rate but yet FF is a much bigger series then Persona and clearly SE is just building up their user base on PC before the release of FF15 .

And PC had a RPG history in the past and still does but it never had a JRPG history like it does now. We are in completly different times then the PS1-2 gens as alot of Console only gamers have become PC gamers too within the last 2 years thanks to Steam and low entry price for gaming PCs making it easier then ever for people to start gaming on PC and still have that console experence..

for console games having resolution bump is worth it lol because it's close system, unlike PC games that benefit on advance graphic option, having resolution and frame rate bump only does waste the PC that utilize high end graphic card, you can play the games on very old card and it still look the same (despite the resolution).

"And only 3rd rate JRPG's come to steam? Since when has the FF series been a 3rd rate JRPG? And yes you can say "Well they have only released the old games" but that's cos atm they have no new game to launch until FF15 launches!" is not an excuse last year SE brought the last remnant to PC but now they only bring FF13/13-2, L return that most hardcore rpg games have small interest on it.

But it's a fact that most games that coming is an old games and not selling anymore on consoles, and FF 15 is certainly have high expectation for many console gamer, and even if it's come it will take a long time to come.

again your theory is just your own hope without any prove , and if you bring Metal gear series into discussion it's even funnier MGS 2,3 and 4 has not come to PC either and in your theory they will include before the next Metal gear comes to PC right but guess what MG phantom pain will come this year without bundling all the old games . and then rumor of Namco bring their tales games to PC , it's just rumor.

PC doesn't have the console experience lol, the current Steam is trying to provide similar service like console, but it's still far from what console is, i will agree to this term until PC has become close system, you can wait for 100 year lol

and if you said more rpg coming to PC then this will only help more and more exclusive "new" exclusives jrpg games comes to consoles (PS4 usually), because like i said most of gamer or PC market is too different from console, and the games that comes usually just a to milk their sales.

I've done with u here, you just derailing the thread by spouting nonsense that FF XV will come to PC, if you still want a further discussion you can just message me.

1st. ok So let me see if i understand you right here. Console gamers can benafit from a boost in res cos its a closed system but PC cant benefit with a boost in res on a game that was never on the system before or never above a res of 720P when it was on consoles cos its an open system??.

2nd. first you say that only 3rd rate JRPG's come to PC then when i point out that the FF series is no 3rd rate series and that the reason SE is porting ther older FF games is 1 that they have no new one out atm since everyone is waiting on FF15!, and 2 they want to build up their userbase and see how the games sell. you go on to point out that SE brought us The Last Remnent last gen wich by your definition (Going by what you said about the other JRPG's on steam such as Valkrye Profile etc) is a 3rd rate JRPG. So last gen SE gave us a 3rd rate JRPG and this gen they are porting their mainline FF games to steam like the is no tomorrow with 6 of them already being released and 4 of them games never even being on PC before, are you seeing a difference here??..

3rd. "FF 15 is certainly have high expectation for many console gamer, and even if it's come it will take a long time to come" SE has said many times they will like the game to be on PC heres one of them times

"During his on-air E3 Square Enix Presents interview, director Tetsuya Nomura commented that the game was being developed in a PC environment, and that platforms that best support DirectX 11 will be likely candidates for the game’s appearance. While this may rule out a WiiU debut, it has led some PC fans to wonder if Square Enix will throw a bone their way.

Yoshihisa Hashimoto, Square Enix’s Chief Technology Officer, has lead the charge into the next-generation for the company with the Luminous Engine that will host games such as Final Fantasy XV. A PC version is currently undecided, but “collaborations” with Luminous Studio are planned for the future. The game, as per the team, will require a top of the line (expensive) machine to run. It’s because of this point that they want to see what the “demand” will be from the PC audience (which is your cue to let them know that you want it)." LINK: http://www.finalfantasy.net/xv/world-epic/ .

Now as you see from that one link SE has no problem with bringing the game to PC but they want to see what the Demand is like first, how would they do that? by releasing other Final Fantasy games something they have been doing already! like i said! and they have been selling very well!!, but lets ignor all that..

4th. My theory isnt working cos MGS 3-4 didnt come to PC?? did you even read what i was writing?? (BTW MGS2 is on PC), cos i used that to prove my point!! something you just backed up! since it shows that more Japan devs are seeing value in relasing on PC too. And BTW they released MGS: GS on PC to test how a MGS game would sell after it sold so well we are now gettin MGS5PP that proves my point since the last time we had a MGS game on PC was MGS2!!, but no where did i say that Konami will release MGS 3-4 on PC before MGS5 (But i do believe MGS 3 and 4 will come to PC at some point but it wont be before MGS5).

5th. No my friend you are dead wrong, What i meant before was that Valve has made PC gaming more User Friendly for the casuals that game on consoles sorry if i wanted to put it in friendlier terms before but i still dont mean this in a bad way, But alot of console gamers always needed PC to become more friendly for them to get into Something Valve has done and in doing so has made the experence more easy for them (Console like since they dont have to worry about manualy updating their games etc etc). But its consoles thats becoming more and more like PC and trying to image Valves online service but still cant top it as Valve does have the Best Online Store and the Best Online Service and its all free amazing i know!!.

6th. Yes they where very different at one point but Consoles and PC's are now more alike then ever with many of the same experences on both and more and more console only gamers now getting PC's to game on also!.

I bet if your any type of a social person at all with gaming friends you know at least a few of them that has heard of Steam and plans on getting a PC to game on or a laptop etc..

Anyway i am the one done with you here as it seems all the points i have made have gone completly over your head and now your pulling the "Derailing the thread" well guess what if you dont want my opinion dont reply to me in the thread i have a wall or PM for that you know!! something you should already know since you said it ya self!.

Some things sound ok, other dont. Ps4 is unlikely using directx11, most likely uses some kind of opengl variant that can do the same stuff. As for wii u, wii u also supports opengl with directx11 equivalent features that havce already been confirmed like compute shaders, multi threaded rendering, etc.

here is an example that better explains this

if this is directx11

then how do you call this?, directx 10?

please understand

I don't see the issue. All I've heard from Sony fans is 'Better on PlayStation' and Sony themselves said that 1080p makes you a better gamer. Supercharged PC and almost every buzzword in gaming. Even the director of this game says, “As a developer I did not actually feel that much of a pull from the PS3 to want to develop games for it, but I certainly feel that from the PS4. It feels like a very big evolution in game design, similar to the shift from 2D to 3D was. I really feel that this challenge to create something that could not be done on any platform other than PS4 can only happen with the latest cutting edge consoles of the current generation.”

Is it wrong that I want to hold them to the standards they set?

Oh, no doubt, higher rez looks better.  But remember these are zoomed in images, it's not how it looks on the screen.

If you look back, I wanted 4K to be the standard.  But, obously, I don't think $2,000+ priced consoles are going to work.  I also wanted 120 FPS, but I'm freaky that way.

A good upscaler can do well though. Never as good a true res, but not a biggy.  My buddy was playing Shadow of Mordor on his 2K high speed TV and it look better than mine.  But I also respond to the high frame rate well, but I know some people hate it.  It makes up additional frame to make the picture smoother, which does add a little noise. But it's not like my game looks bad at 1080p30.

I'm just saying when you are playing a game, the difference between 900p and 1080p isn't really worth getting one's panties in a bind.  But yes it is dissapointing, but mostly negligible.

Tell me a funny joke!

I'm very disappointed in FFXV from a technical standpoint. Compared to FFXIII, it's less than groundbreaking when it isn't pushing any boundaries. Some of the textures look like a mess, less than impressive shaders, the lighting and the models are meh ...

Now this ...

I know this is a demo but this is getting pitiful considering a franchise of this pedigree ...

I'd rather have a game with an explorable world (exploration has always been something important in the FF series), even if it doesn't look perfect graphically (edit: and not like the demo looks bad), than some pretty but shallow corridor game like FFXIII.
