Difference in jaggies (would be more pronounced on an HDTV) Look at his arm. The jaggies in the 900p version are more pronounced and obtrusive. Jaggies distract from gameplay in my opinion. Especially in games with a lot of foilage (causes flickering.) Difference in clarity (would be even more pronounced on an HDTV.) Look at SPQR on the post and look at the warriors next to it. Less of a deal for me personally, but still some people like a sharp, crisp image.

Oh, no doubt, higher rez looks better. But remember these are zoomed in images, it's not how it looks on the screen.
If you look back, I wanted 4K to be the standard. But, obously, I don't think $2,000+ priced consoles are going to work. I also wanted 120 FPS, but I'm freaky that way.
A good upscaler can do well though. Never as good a true res, but not a biggy. My buddy was playing Shadow of Mordor on his 2K high speed TV and it look better than mine. But I also respond to the high frame rate well, but I know some people hate it. It makes up additional frame to make the picture smoother, which does add a little noise. But it's not like my game looks bad at 1080p30.
I'm just saying when you are playing a game, the difference between 900p and 1080p isn't really worth getting one's panties in a bind. But yes it is dissapointing, but mostly negligible.
