1st. ok So let me see if i understand you right here. Console gamers can benafit from a boost in res cos its a closed system but PC cant benefit with a boost in res on a game that was never on the system before or never above a res of 720P when it was on consoles cos its an open system??. 2nd. first you say that only 3rd rate JRPG's come to PC then when i point out that the FF series is no 3rd rate series and that the reason SE is porting ther older FF games is 1 that they have no new one out atm since everyone is waiting on FF15!, and 2 they want to build up their userbase and see how the games sell. you go on to point out that SE brought us The Last Remnent last gen wich by your definition (Going by what you said about the other JRPG's on steam such as Valkrye Profile etc) is a 3rd rate JRPG. So last gen SE gave us a 3rd rate JRPG and this gen they are porting their mainline FF games to steam like the is no tomorrow with 6 of them already being released and 4 of them games never even being on PC before, are you seeing a difference here??.. 3rd. "FF 15 is certainly have high expectation for many console gamer, and even if it's come it will take a long time to come" SE has said many times they will like the game to be on PC heres one of them times "During his on-air E3 Square Enix Presents interview, director Tetsuya Nomura commented that the game was being developed in a PC environment, and that platforms that best support DirectX 11 will be likely candidates for the game’s appearance. While this may rule out a WiiU debut, it has led some PC fans to wonder if Square Enix will throw a bone their way. Yoshihisa Hashimoto, Square Enix’s Chief Technology Officer, has lead the charge into the next-generation for the company with the Luminous Engine that will host games such as Final Fantasy XV. A PC version is currently undecided, but “collaborations” with Luminous Studio are planned for the future. The game, as per the team, will require a top of the line (expensive) machine to run. It’s because of this point that they want to see what the “demand” will be from the PC audience (which is your cue to let them know that you want it)." LINK: http://www.finalfantasy.net/xv/world-epic/ . Now as you see from that one link SE has no problem with bringing the game to PC but they want to see what the Demand is like first, how would they do that? by releasing other Final Fantasy games something they have been doing already! like i said! and they have been selling very well!!, but lets ignor all that.. 4th. My theory isnt working cos MGS 3-4 didnt come to PC?? did you even read what i was writing?? (BTW MGS2 is on PC), cos i used that to prove my point!! something you just backed up! since it shows that more Japan devs are seeing value in relasing on PC too. And BTW they released MGS: GS on PC to test how a MGS game would sell after it sold so well we are now gettin MGS5PP that proves my point since the last time we had a MGS game on PC was MGS2!!, but no where did i say that Konami will release MGS 3-4 on PC before MGS5 (But i do believe MGS 3 and 4 will come to PC at some point but it wont be before MGS5). 5th. No my friend you are dead wrong, What i meant before was that Valve has made PC gaming more User Friendly for the casuals that game on consoles sorry if i wanted to put it in friendlier terms before but i still dont mean this in a bad way, But alot of console gamers always needed PC to become more friendly for them to get into Something Valve has done and in doing so has made the experence more easy for them (Console like since they dont have to worry about manualy updating their games etc etc). But its consoles thats becoming more and more like PC and trying to image Valves online service but still cant top it as Valve does have the Best Online Store and the Best Online Service and its all free amazing i know!!. 6th. Yes they where very different at one point but Consoles and PC's are now more alike then ever with many of the same experences on both and more and more console only gamers now getting PC's to game on also!. I bet if your any type of a social person at all with gaming friends you know at least a few of them that has heard of Steam and plans on getting a PC to game on or a laptop etc.. Anyway i am the one done with you here as it seems all the points i have made have gone completly over your head and now your pulling the "Derailing the thread" well guess what if you dont want my opinion dont reply to me in the thread i have a wall or PM for that you know!! something you should already know since you said it ya self!. |
Some things sound ok, other dont. Ps4 is unlikely using directx11, most likely uses some kind of opengl variant that can do the same stuff. As for wii u, wii u also supports opengl with directx11 equivalent features that havce already been confirmed like compute shaders, multi threaded rendering, etc.
here is an example that better explains this
if this is directx11

then how do you call this?, directx 10?

please understand

.
lol because it's close system, unlike PC games that benefit on advance graphic option, having resolution and frame rate bump only does waste the PC that utilize high end graphic card, you can play the games on very old card and it still look the same (despite the resolution).
