Doesn't bother me as I never use voice chat. Confirmation of local MP is a much bigger nugget in my eyes.

But really, how much a loss no-voice chat is depends on the length of the matched re voice chat. If they're less than 5 minutes, it's not worth it really. What would be nice though would be team lobby chat, with touchscreen map support, so you can plan your game beforehand. That would make a lot of sense and would give a nice spin on strategizing as you'd have to make a plan and either stick to it or watch it fall a part under the pressure of a foe.

Lack of bots is slightly irritating, as I don't mind the odd bot fight. Could be that they struggled to create an AI that took full advantage of the gameplay possibilities, or even that the amount of fluid to keep track of uses too much of the Wii U's CPU to make decent AI viable.

Other possibilities include the fairness of using bots: if you get 7 players together and the 8th ends up being a bot, that could be a big help or a huge hindrance to the team stuck with it, depending on the AI cruelty chosen. Or they just can't get bots to think strategically.

I agree that some sort of team mapping feature should be utilized in-lobby. Even if you can't draw them in real time, players could have the option of making a playbook showing their favorite ways to tackle a given map, which your teammates can see.

The lack of CPU fighters is what bothers me the most actually! The lack of voice chat? I couldn't care less about that.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

There had better not be any complex modes or maps, then, or any real objective-based game-play, or that lack of communication thing is going to get frustrating very fast. Sounds like it's going to be more chaos style than tactical. Probably going to be simplistic in that regard in order to be more accessible to kids. That, and the plus of not having someone screaming "you're all fucking idiots" right before your team loses.

A lack of depth might hurt longevity, however.

I also wonder if perhaps that "decided to get rid of it" translates to "told to drop it by upper management."

i've never known bots to be as good as a real player,.. but in the games that use them i prefer a bots presence if for no other reason than to be a meat sheild.  if a couple people quit early and you're outnumbered 2 to 1 the match sucks a lot for the team missing players.  it also gives the title a better shelf life.  i still go back to fat princess from time to time and without bots the game would be unplayable.  i can't manage to get a match with more than half the players being real in years.  bots means at least i can play (even by myself) from time to time.

neat idea actually.

I don't understand Nintendo's issues with online play, are they really that tick headed? I wonder who decides those things?

I want my capture the Blooper mode. I predict 50-60% ish on metacritic.

no communication with teammates? no CPUs? What kind of rookie shit is that?

Those are the least of its problems lol. Only one multiplayer mode is the only issue worth talking about.

There's no way the lack of bots applies to local multiplayer, right? Do we know how many people can play together locally in online mode aswell?

Wait, if there's no CPUs in matches what happens if one player like drops out? Does the whole match end? Some people might have disconnects too. Pardon my ignorance, I'm not too big on online gaming.

Also... no communicating with players.... Um, isn't it 2015?
