There had better not be any complex modes or maps, then, or any real objective-based game-play, or that lack of communication thing is going to get frustrating very fast. Sounds like it's going to be more chaos style than tactical. Probably going to be simplistic in that regard in order to be more accessible to kids. That, and the plus of not having someone screaming "you're all fucking idiots" right before your team loses.
A lack of depth might hurt longevity, however.
I also wonder if perhaps that "decided to get rid of it" translates to "told to drop it by upper management."
