This forum is always in a state of users coming and going. There will always be users leaving for any reason they want, and newer users coming in. Obviously the older members can never be truly replaced (and thus will always be missed), but roles and functions can still be taken up by the new guard (or even other veterans). That's how it's always been and will always be. I'm excited though for the upcoming changes that will hopefully lend a spark to the overall energy of these forums.

Hmmm... ^_^
Users like JetForceJiminy frustrate me because they're great users that leave after some slight issue that can be absolved by making a few changes to their posting style (or some other small issue that can be fixed). Same thing happened with Basil_Zero and BongLover. Very much an unfortunate loss.
Well, as many have said, it seems like not that many people are leaving really. However, something that could cause people to leave would be the fact that this is a sales website that often takes forever to post new sales numbers. Also, when numbers are posted, they are sometimes very very off. Just saying, that could be a reason why someone would decide to leave this site.
Is it the way I smell? I have an armpit problem..
I think its normal.
Being an active forum member can be one of the most dangerous means of procrastination as you get into debate and conversation and that can go on for ever lol. Its a fair investment and at some point people are going to decide to put it on the backburner and allow time for other things (including playing actual games :p)
It seems those who post a lot get burned out quicker. They usually get so obsessed about posting they have to ask for permabans. Sometimes they come back, sometimes they don't. Spurge is one who's been coming and going for years and years.
I have thoughts about leaving too. I thought this site was impartial to all the gaming systems but let's be serious here. There's definitely is an abnormally large about of Nintendo bias on this site. You say or make a thread criticizing them and you'll get attacked. I also think some users get preferential treatment with the things they say because I think most of the mods are also hardcore Nintendo fans. Just my 2 cents.

I er.....am thinking of leaving later this year. Not just a requested ban next time.
Too much time on this site I have spent.
I try to be active but real life does get in the way. You never in now what these people are dealing with in their own lives as well.
People come and go, whatever.
I will say though, as the world moves to mobile devices as their primary screen, this website is going to suffer. During the day I mainly use my phone to go on the internet, and this site is just....awful on mobile. I find myself getting tired of fighting banner ads that send me to the app store and constantly having to pinch and zoom to read the posts. I usually end up giving up and go to a mobile friendly site.
