No matter who invents, I love new tech and I am looking forward to try anything new. Besides the obvious bullshots, many hands-on texts were surprised by the tech and seemed to like it and I will go by this. Same applies to VR.

If it's work well like the commercials then it will be great for out side gaming activity like working, graphic design etc. But i doubt it will look like the commercial (Kinect exaggerate add for example). For gaming casual games will be benefit with this, but not for games like FPS and mainstream games.

Actually since it's Microsoft they might bought it for this showcase demo alone haha. However i can image LEGO being pretty scared right now. Building with blocks but without the whole living room becoming a mess.
