WIth the announcement earlier today that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is going to be available for download on WIi U shortly, is that any hope of a HD bundle laid to rest?

Pretty sure they would have mentioned if it was HD, so it is almost certainly a straight port

Yea, they are not happening since they already look so good and making them look even better will be veryyy hard apart from just adding AA and running at 1080p natively which is not worth $50 but if the EU prices are anything to go by, the ports should be quite cheap

To be honest, I would've also loved to see Metroid Prime Trilogy get the remaster treatment. Not only would it look awesome, but it'd fill the gaps between released for cheap.

I don't care. They already look good. I'd rather this, because Wii games were the only grey area for virtual console. Basically confirms GCN VC, by the way. And definitely confirms BC with the next hardware as this is clearly setting up the infrastructure for their next digital library.

Well actually i wonder if they might do super mario galaxy in.HD cos i mean why release the second one and not the first one first.

My problem here is that while CCP supported games will work on the Gamepad something like SMG2 wont and I can already play my Wii copy if I want too

HDfication would have been nice but oh well. I will only be getting MP trilogy because of that otherwise I would have gotten all of them for that insane price!

The WiiU is backwards compatible with the Wii, there is no point for an HD remaster. Wait a gen or two.

They'll probably appear at the next console. Would be kind of early for Nintendo to HD remaster the Wii titles.
They got plenty of GC titles to HD remaster.

Yeah, now that they're simply just re-releasing Galaxy 2, an HD remake is more unlikely.
