Put 1 and 2 and make them 1080p with enhanced AA and textures and charge 50$. That sounds reasonable for me. It does not appear it is going to happen though or they would not be releasing it on the Wii U. Sad actually, an HD collection probably would have got me to buy it for my Wii U not interested in a SD port

I don't think it it would be worth it for me if thats all they did, specially since for one week, SMG2 port only costs $10 on the eshop (least according to EU prices anyway)

2 of the best games of last gen (according to many) with upgraded textures at 1080p with better AA is not worth 50$? I have got to disagree. I love HD remakes, there are many games I would not have played otherwise. I would probably buy this collection if it was made.

Yes because the effort that was put into making the remaster was minimal. Less jaggies is always nice but paying $50 for only less jaggies and nothing else? No thanks

Resolution is the most important thing there is when it comes to graphics outside of art style. I recently paid 30$ for Metro Redux which has Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light and it is awesome and well worth it. A Wii game upgraded on the Wii U would look amazing, I want more Zelda remakes....

For me, they need to add more than just AA + 1080p to make it worth $50. Would AA be better? Sure, but $50 better? I think not. SMG1 and SMG2 look pretty great as it is and I really don't think that AA + res will make it worth that much more. And yes, I have played both of them on wii and dolphin

Dolphin just upscales the game, huge difference from Native 1080p. It does make games look significantly better than a Wii though. Remakes are just a good easy way for the consumer to get a game they love to look even better and for devs/publishers to make some easy money. Everybody wins

For those that are interested, the price in Canada is $10.99.

Not really a "win" for fans if thats all they improve cause imo, most fans wont really get a kick out of it cause they already played the game and just seeing it in a higher res is just yawn worthy for that price. I would much rather have Nintendo spend that money on something that is more worth while like Twilight Princess where there are many things to improve other than just the res

Textures can be greatly improved as well. It does not cost that much to make an HD remame. But you need to remember there are people with a Wii U that did not have a Wii. The Wii U feels more like a core gamer system to me than the Wii did and interested me enough to buy it. Also after gaming at 1080p on my PC it was hard to play at Wii resolutions to be honest. I hate that I can not play PS2 games anymore due to the same reason. It gives me headaches.

Totally agree.  And with Wind Waker HD getting the treatment, I was totally expecting it for SMG.

Either that, or have SMG 3 come with remasters of 1 & 2 (like Bayonetta).

Yea, I don't care too much for an HD remake anymore myself. The game looks great anyway.
