hey guys, i know i made a thread about this before and all sorts of opinions were established by many different users, and to reiterate my stand: nintendo can do a better job creating spine art. the actual cover always looks fantastic, but when it comes to the spines, its something that is really lacking. For all these fantastic games that are coming out in 2015, i really hope to see something a little more imaginative than this bolded arial gray text font they have going on. ITS HORRIBLE.

anyways, the point of this thread is this: do you think i should call Nintendo about this issue? If i get more votes saying yes, I will call Nintendo, voice our concern and  see if we cant get something done about this. I will also make a video about it and share it with you guys.. Nintendo usually has top notch customer service, so maybe somebody might do something to help us out. what do you guys think? should i give them a call?

You could call them but essentially what will happen is just that, you will talk with a tech representative who has no way of actually telling anyone close to being important about ur issue and all you will be doing is wasting your time... The best way to do it is when your doing the surveys for ur games, just tell them the spine art is terrible and they need to improve it and do that for all ur feedback. And also, get other people to do it and if enough people do it, they might actually care. But calling them is pointless

If you don't mind spending the time, then yeah, why not?? Worst they can do is say no.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

Well least it is not as bad as the XOne spine art!

It's nice to see that someone other than myself is noticing this issue. I've intended to bring it up for a while now, but never actually got around to it.

The lack of inspiration found in Nintendo's spine art is alarming. For a company that has been widely praised for paying close attention to detail, they certainly mess up big time with this seemingly obvious opportunity to express their creativity and add another dimension of nostalgia to their titles.

Going down this path will end up harming Nintendo in the long run. Showing apathy towards something that is so simple, yet so detrimental, can only be viewed as laziness on their part to save themselves from going through the trouble of designing art that will stick with us forever, or as a cheap attempt to save money from ink consumption.

Now, all we can hope is for more people to pick up on this despicable trend. Perhaps one day Nintendo will listen.
