Niintendo? Niintendo?!

Nintendo Marketing Team: "I've got it! Our next home console will be revolutionary, it will bring back the core market yet appeal to the mobile consumers, I call it...the Nii."

And then everyone died.

Excuse me for being a big ignorant, but exactly what is this spine art, that all of you keep talking about?, maybe a graphic example will help me to know about it.

thank you so much Pavolink!!!!!

Looking at my game's collection across all platforms, certainly it's not the best but not  the worst, it could be improved, because right now the spine art feels uninspired and blant.

wait wait wait WAIT! This is not what im talking about! at least not the actual console logo that is on the spine. I am talking about the spine art for specific games. take a look at HYRULE WARRIORS or CAPTAIN TOAD. the actual titles of those games on the spine are very boring and bland. The logo of the console on the spine is expected, and I do not have a problem with that at all. I am speaking of the rest of the spine. In fact, the games in the pictures have good spines. i consider them good because they have the logos of the actual games on them.

when i make my video, i will provide pictures to let the audience know what im referring to.

Don't worry i know exactly what are you referring with the spine art, the most boring and annoying one for me it's the Bayonetta 2 art spine, that font.... so boring and horrible!!!, why didn't they put the actual logo?  really uninspired..... and disappointing.

i know. with how much effort they put into the front, i was shocked that the side of the box didnt get the same treatment. it doesnt make any sense to me at all. i mean, that is the side of the box that people are going to be seeing when the game is put away. i wish they made the spine look as awesome as the front.

I think their cover art is actually pretty terrible most of the time, so the spines are the least of my concerns. I've learned to accept that while Nintendo's games themselves are usually flawlessly executed in the visual design department, the packaging, particularly since moving to DVD cases, is kind of an eyesore.
