Blatantly false. PS4 sold over 1m in Germany in around 1 year. The console market in Germany is the second/third biggest in Europe.

Media Markt and Saturn are BIG retailers targetting the hardcore casuals. if you know what you are doing you avoid these shops where you can, because you know the prices are too high and the employees have next to NO knowkledge about what they are selling. also, tech-nick is such an awful marketing person. dumb pub-name, beard for hipsterhype and so on. yeah, it's so annoying that it's working. but these shops have established a marketing strategy where it isn't relevant if the marketing is good or bad. in fact, they make their advertising even dumber since like 10 years or so. tv spots they are producing have this as their central element: reaaaally reaally dumb advertising that make no sense at all. with slogans like "i aint stupid".
just take a quick look at this:

ROTFL! Media Markt (here using the name Media World) and Saturn are two of the biggest in Italy too, but their marketing here is not so bad, just a little bland.

Same with every other place where its near impossible to keep in stock. Fans are demanding it so Sony should be raising the price there. |

Where are you getting this information from?
http://globalstudy.bsa.org/2013/downloads/studies/2013GlobalSurvey_inbrief_en.pdf
Germany had lower installations of unlicenced software, and a lower value of unlicenced software in 2013 then France (by a value exceeding $500 million).
http://globalstudy.bsa.org/2011/
Look at this list of European countries for piracy rates :
Germany 26%
UK 26%
Norway 27%
Netherlands 27%
Ireland 34%
France 37%
Portugal 40%
Spain 44%
Italy 48%
Poland 53%
How exactly do they love pirating more than anyone else? If anything, Germany seem to be on the lower end of the scale when it comes to piracy rates in Europe. However, they have a population of over 80 million people (the highest in Europe if you discount Russia). So obviously the total value of pirated software there is going to be high, even with lower piracy rates.

Yeah it should be obvious that poorer countries will have higher rates of piracy. Germany is certainly not one of the poorest countries in the world

My opinion is that he just made it up. Probably didn't feel like giving the ps4 the credit it deserves
More important question is, how is the Wii U doing there? lol.
X1 will not ever do as well as PS4 unless it does equally as good in EU as it does in NA.
