Forums - Sony - Would u be willing to pay an extra for backwards compatibility?

I would.

Nah I can't get the save files from my PS2 which would take away any incentive for BC.

Yea, I would. Though, I think it would be better if they just developed a PS2/PS1 emulator and sold it for $20-$25 on PSN.

I would...a PSV or XBO with full (retail) Backwards compatibility may have convinced me to buy one

It should of been there from the beginning. I don't care now, I never sell the old consoles anyway. Not happening anyway, they got Playstation Now to replace BC

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Nope

I'll use PS Now for a couple of games I "missed"
Remasters for games i want to replay with better quality
And PS3 if i simply want to revisit one I already have.

I would probably pay an extra $50. I never had a PS3, so it would be like getting two systems in one. (Assuming they don't just end up porting the entire library over.)

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

Maybe because I never had a ps3, but I'm just interested in a few games.

I know... my English sucks.

No, but if the console doesn't have backwards compatibility than I won't buy the console anyways.

I decided to get a PS3 instead of a PS4 because of missing BC. So not now anymore. But if this option would have been available from the start, I would have skipped PS3 and would have gone for PS4 with BC.
