I think its easily feasible that that Nintendo's next console is a variant of what AMD prototyped a couple of years ago, fused in more with the Wii-U gamepad tech: Project Discovery

It would be pretty dope if it was backward compatible with any Wii-U games and work as a standalone tablet with

The 3DS will be 5 years old by xmas 2016 I believe, and its hardware is ancient stuff that pushes out pixelated junk relative to whats out there now, so it makes sense to push that out first, I think everyone will want them to support the Wii-U for quite a few years to come.

I dont think Nintendo will launches a new home console in 2016. (probably 2017), but when arrived it will be 9. generation of Nintendo console.

Honestly, by that time it won't matter. Console generations are on their way out.

i would call it 8.5 gen or just 8th gen. Nintendo's consoles are always weaker than their competition and I see little point in calling it 9th gen if it's released that early. I doubt that nintendo would release another console this early in this gen.

It would be considered Gen 9. But if the Wii U is released in 2016, the PS5 and Xbox ??? will probably be released earlier than expected like 2018.

If they release a new console in 2017, its means 2015 ils Wii U last year in term of good support, 2016 will be pretty much empty

They can't do that. They know they can't. (unless something like Wii U Mini.) Why? because:
