Forums - Sony - Engadget: Unreleased Sony movies leak online following studio hack

Doesn't really matter, honestly. The folks who were going to pirate it, were going to pirate it anyway. So, the damage will be minimal.

Sony should probably start thinking about investing in the quantum computing machines, though.  Impossible to hack (at least, as far as I'm aware).

If only Sony had the money to invest in a completely unheralded technology.

They could just help fund the research, which is already underway in other places hah :D

They could, but not sure what Sony would gain out of it. Quantum computers haven't even proven that they are the future yet, and the cost to research a functioning one is stagerring. Sony needs money now, not hope in future promises.

If this was the Sony of the 80s or 90s, I think they would be in the thick of things with the research. Sadly, we might never see that leveel of innovation from Sony again

More like a tsunami! I really don't understand the point though. Did Sony kill some dolphins or something?

ignoring that completely, these "leaked" files list as 0 seeds, 0 peers..

so a publicity stunt more likely?

nope. go look for the titles on torrent networks and when they were uploaded.

Latest rumour. N. Korea did it !?

As pay back for a comedy about its glorious leader.

Really, all should block IPs coming from North Korea completely. (I wonder why they have gotten IPs...).

5 bucks says its Marvel doing this cause they think that they can get the film rights back to Spider-Man by hacking Sony.

Does that mean that The Last Of Us, Uncharted, and the like will finally be pirated?
