Who's concepts are secure then?
I've seen the xbox database hacked, google hacked, twitter, facebook, microsoft itself, psn, among thousands of others (including arms contractors and the military as well as CIA, FBI, Pentagon). It's a well known fact that China, the middle east, and north korea engage every second in hacking attempts around the world, and this is government funded attacks to steal data from governments who employ some of the best hackers in the world to COUNTER hack the intruders. Nobody is safe. The idea of "upgrading security" is just a buzzword that the common (read: daft) people can understand. In reality most of them don't even know what a tweet is.

Mornelithe is right. If a hacker has the will, there is a way.

You know how many of the first hacks were employed? They'd call security and tell them there was an IT failure and have them flip a switch or read off an ip, and they'd do it because they didn't know better. That's like asking the maid to leave the keys under the doormat because james, the son, is visiting for the weekend and dad's phone is shut off. It doesn't take much for a well funded group (or just creatively smart) to purchase their way into information. You really don't even have to hack anything. Just find a disgruntled employee. They're everywhere.

At my last job, as senior administrator, I had access to many terrabytes of contracts, plans, schematics, budget, suppliers. I had everything at my fingertips, because I had personal access to every single district manager's information and folders.

Like, seriously, if someone wanted they could visit me at my office after signing in, plant a small recording device near my computer and gain access to all my info. Hundreds of thousands of social security numbers and full bios. Surveillance is just so easy these days.

Yikes, what's wrong with Sony?! They need to upgrade their ways and start working like a 21st century company. It would actually help them save a lot of money.

Honestly, most of these hackers are just console fanboys. It's really pathetic.

They are in no way doing anything for me, as I was never approached for my approval or disproval.  So fuck them, frankly, I hope a hit squad shows up and puts a bullet in every single one of them.  Just for the lulz. (see what I did there?)

I used to know a person who was a hacker for the mob. When I was going to college he asked me where I went, and then within minutes had all my information and could even change my grades if he wanted. I didn't even know he knew that kind of stuff. I thought hacking was all glitter and lighting.
