Forums - Sales Discussion - How Microsoft saved Vita

What kind of twisted PR is this? Minecraft was going to the Vita/PlayStation TV anyway. By the time of it being bought. . . Wait... This might mean that the PlayStation TV may have sold more than we thought.

We said it before, MS is supporting the Vita more than Sony. xD

Well its nice to see someone support the thing...

Does Minecraft Vita stand a chance to become the best selling Vita game? Maybe it can beat all Sony first party combined..

I'd say it's almost 100% certain given Minecraft's legs compared to the only 2 games that topped its FW on Vita.

It will probably become Vita's first 2m seller, at least.

LOL Minecraft was coming before MS bought it.

That doesn't mean anything. Microsoft could have stopped it!

But they chose not to.

When it comes to their career in gaming they've started out by getting in peoples way for their own benefit. Its about time they allowed things to play out smoothly. Besides we settled this once the PS4 version was launched. I guess I should be thankful, but then again thats more money for Microsoft now.

Wasn't Minecraft on its way to the Vita before the adquisition?

well, microsoft could have stopped its release, but they didn't.

Wasn't this origianally going to be a cross-save game?

Wow not bad at all considering it was free to owners of the ps3 Minecraft and released digitally a few weeks ago. Portable full featured Minecraft clearly had more demand than I realised. Unless its all those new PSTV owners buying it. (That also released Friday in the UK) :p

In all honesty i wouldnt mind Microsoft supporting the vita with some of their AA and Arcade titles like Kameo, Viva Pinatas, Minecraft, Ori and the Blind Forest, Max, Banjo, etc

I know it most likely would never happen but I wouldnt mind honestly

They allowed Blue Dragon on the DS, so it's not out of the picture.
