They allowed Viva Pinatas as well.

Yes, but if Mojang had the game half-made already, Microsoft would have been wasting potential sales if they decided to can it.
Also, why is Microsoft not releasing Minecraft on 3DS or N3DS? I understand not releasing it for the WiiU, because it competes with the XBone, but Microsoft doesn't have a console on the handheld market (besides tablets and phones, but those are different). Almost 50 million users is a tempting number.
It debuted better than the PS3 and PS4 versions but people still won't develop a damn thing on the system other than ports and indies.

Why would they stop it? They don't have a handheld system competing against it and they want to make money.
It didn't save nothing,UK chart didn't montion any boost for Vita due to Mincraft
PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m
Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Because MS loves doing evil things.

Not if contracts were signed. Or they could've stopped it, but at an exorbant cost which would be pointless to pay.
Eh. They should just make Minecraft PC and Xbox exclusive.
Job done.
