Sure! WWHD and TLoU are tied for the best ones I've played. Ratchet, Jak, Sly, and both GoW collections were great too! GTA5 is on my Christmas list it looks great. Oh Shadow of the Colossus was great too as it fixed the framerate

Different strokes then I guess.

I would welcome optional controls though, although that should have been there from the start. I would hate to wait another 5+ years to be able to enjoy the only console Zelda I have yet to finish. It makes me a sad Zelda fan that I can't force myself through it. Where you find immersion I found it totally unimmersive due to the controls. They are not true 1:1 and make for a frustrating experience. Even my mother, who is a diehard Zelda fan (maybe even more so than me* since she also plays every single handheld game as well) couldn't play it. She stopped early on when you learn to fly. She hated the controls. She actually called me and asked if the controls were able to be changed.

If me and my mother have issues with the controls, then to me it's an obvious issue.

I was able to deal with the gesture based style in Twlight Princess though. They should have stuck with that at least or offered it.

Well I hated the controls in Wii Twilight Princess, so I definitely didn't want that back. It's pretty much the only Zelda so far in which I've disliked controls. I can only play that game if it's GameCube version.

That said, I can definitely see where people are coming from when they say they disliked Skyward Sword because of the controls, it really wasn't for everyone. But then again, it's part of the identity of this game - taking it away is like taking away MM's 3-day system or ALBW's wall mechanic. The motion controls are what made it so great for those who enjoyed it, and so horrible for the ones who didn't.

I actually fell out of my liking for TP early on and shelved it for about a year when I reached the Sky Temple, but I later came back and finished the game. Overall I really enjoyed it, but not as much as the 3/4 top down Zelda titles. Those are my absolute favorites.

I also don't think your comparison to ALBW is fair since it was a gameplay mechanic and not a control mechanic. What they did with SS was WAY more divisive than the wall mechanic could ever be. Once of them is constant no matter what you were doing while the other was not.

SS could have easily added the optional control scheme and solved just about every single issue people had with the game. It was no doubt a missed opportunity just so they could try to sell WM+, which outside of SS or WS+ didn't serve much of a purpose to warrant the choice they ultimately made.

Anyways, we are getting so off-topic, but I am enjoying it none the less.

Well the way i see it is if a game is at least 10 years old then a remaster/remake is very welcomed especially if the game was a gem but these remakes/remasters of games that are still widely available in stores or are less then 5 years old are just a quick cash in. Saying that though i guess if your a fan of these 1 or 2 year old remasters then by all means enjoy your game, who am i to fault you for it.

depends on the game thats getting the remaster.

Simple question. Do you love or hate remasters?

Isn't option 5 and 6 on the poll the same?

I hate remasters but love remakes, there should be at least 2 generations apart to make it worth it.

As long as newer generations get to experience a great game for awhile ago and they're used primarily to fund new games and train newer developers for the bigger, newer games, I love them.

I don't mind them.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I both love & hate. I hate remasters that just boost the graphics & frame rate without adding anything new (like Tomb Raider & TLOU), but if a remaster adds a completely new way to play the game (like GTA V), then I love it. It all depends.

Depends.

Wind Waker HD = good (I hate bloom!!!!!)
Halo1 Anniversary Edition = godlike (I love the retro/modern switch!)
God of War collection = omfg LAME (did you remove the PS2 BC so you can sell PS2 games agan?)
