Loving the giant world and environments but the character models are still so bleh. At least they got plenty of time to work on it.

It's a must buy if a Wii U ever lands in my lap.

I always hear someone say that, but i dont understand. The models are modeled as anime characters. If you notice they are very similar in style to Xenosaga characters. I dont think these models are meant to look real life like as for example the FFXV ones.

My thoughts exactly.  The only character whose face is eh to me is the girl with the black hair; something looks...stiff about it.  The rest I find ok.  I actually like the brown and silver hair default playar models, the comander guy with th scar, and the big guy with the mustache.  Elma's pretty good, but not as good.  The blonde chick is also good.

When I see Xenoblade, I think the direction they are going for is "what if anime was reality?"  while FFXV goes for "what if reality was anime?"  I like both personally.

Loved the video. I watched the whole thing because I missed segments of it. But looking at Xenoblade just makes me wish that Monolith Soft, Nintendo, and Namco Bandai would get together and work out a way to make the Xenosaga trilogy happen on Wii U. Kinda like how Platinum, Sega, and Nintendo got together for Bayonetta 2. It looks like when they have Xenoblade Chronicles X done, they will already have the engine done for a Xenosaga HD Trilogy, complete with character models. It shouldn't be crazy hard to do.

What can I say.. Xenoblade Chrociles X looks fucking amazing and i can't wait until its release.

Elma's actually the only one that sticks out to me; the shape and stiffness of her face compared with her skin colour just looks plastic and... just bad. The black haired girl at least works as an anime design to me, like the rest of the characters. They look fine to me; simplistic, but functional.

I imagine my attitude about the black haired girl will shift to where I will like her as much as Elma or so. I've just seen Elma in motion and in the full blown cutscenes (not the pseudo ones), she seems expressive enough. We'll just have to see. But most games have at least one "eh" character design (Or in the case of Oblivion, a few dozen...or hundred :P )

This game looks pretty cool. I can't wait. I loved the first game quite a bit.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward = best game ever made.

Does anyone know why Nintendo hasn't released a high quality video of the footage yet?

Think for yourself, question authority

Because it wasn't a trailer.

At first I was ok with the city but then I saw him leaping through peoples backyards... is this GTA now??
It just seems so out of place. This trailer has left me less intrested in XCX, just hoping XBC 3D releases in time for me to finish it before XCX releases

It's supposed to, it's people trying to act like this alien planet they live on is Earth. Sorry you feel less interested for some reason, but the story isn't about a spaceship full of space marines goes to kill everything on a planet. It's about a civilization trying to live normal lives even though their planet has been destroyed.

This and Zelda might finally make me get a wiiu in 2015.
