When I see Xenoblade, I think the direction they are going for is "what if anime was reality?" while FFXV goes for "what if reality was anime?" I like both personally. |
Elma's actually the only one that sticks out to me; the shape and stiffness of her face compared with her skin colour just looks plastic and... just bad. The black haired girl at least works as an anime design to me, like the rest of the characters. They look fine to me; simplistic, but functional.
