Seriously, creating this thread just gives people reason to mock you in the very near future.  This is a niche game that happens to appeal to the obviously niche Nintendo crowd.  Now some Nintendo fans may deem this their GOTY (over Smash or MK8 I'm not sure how), but to expect or predict that the industry will is just bat shit insane.  I know...that's what the OP is going for, but as d21lewis has said, we will die by your hyperbolic sword.

Ummmmmmmmmm..... I think SSB will be over this, but im trying to say this can potentially be a hidden goty contender. this game screams a 90 (or close to it) in my book. Its a puzzle game that looks amazing. You'll see soon when review goes up, i'll be surprised if this game gets lower than an 85

I agree with everything you're saying...in a hypothetical way.  I loved these levels in SM3DW...and I've been on board since the E3 trailer began.  But I know what hype trains look like, especially after they derail into fiery infernos.  I'd just rather not encourage that destiny for this tiny titan.

I understand you better now, this game to me at first was "ok", i'll get it at a later date. Bt this last trailer, my biggest worry was $60 pric and 20-30 levels, but $40 for 70+ levels and the team that is one of nintendo's finest? Sold :P

This happenedlast year with sm3dw, so much crow served, this is the same to a much lesser extent!!!

It's a 2015 game to me, living in PAL Land. :(

But as an EAD Tokyo project, it'll still likely be one of the best games of next year. Not that it'll be recognized as such by industry journalists due to not being a cinematic, m-rated, story-driven blockbuster.

I'm not sure if it's been improved. I've played the PS3 version on Hard, then Survivor. On PS4 I've only played Grounded so I can't make a comparison. I haven't heard any claims that it's different from the PS3 version in that department, though.

Doubtful. If SM3DW didn't win any GOTYs last year, I don't see Captain Toad winning any this year.

More likely candidates are Shadow of Mordor, Far Cry 4, Dark Souls II, SSBU, and Bayonetta 2.
