Forums - Gaming - Why won't EA release working games?

Because they've cornered a little niche in the market for themselves that ensures yearly profits so they pretty much don't have to give a fuck about anything and it's really sad.

pro evo is great this year from what i hear but that needs to translate itself into sales. The last time pro evo threatened fifa it resulted in fifa upping it's game massivlely . I read the review for nhl 15 and it sounds like ea would have been better skipping a year.

You don't want broken EA games? Stop buying them. There are plenty of better game publishers than EA out there. :)

I buy very few of them to begin with. Fifa 15 as I said was my first fifa since fifa 09 which worked perfectly. I bought BF3 a year after release so was unaware of all the bugs it had at release so being the sucker I am I bought BF4 plus premium at launch. Never again.

I'm actually shocked how few EA games I buy I just wish others would follow suit.

simply put because they don't have to. They still get consumers buying their product. Vote with your wallet like Nintendo fans did. What is the worst that can happen following that strategy?

Why blame EA for that?

Those games are developed by Crytek and their last great game was Crysis.

They're the publisher and are ultimitely responsible for their devs. Maybe crytek were more to blame for them but you can't defend them for the likes of BF4 and their annual sports games being glitchy. BF4 should have been delayed 6 months by EA and Fifa/NHL etc just need more money pumped into play testing and bug fixing.

Well was EA responsible for the first Crysis being so great? I'm guessing they let Crytek do whatever they want and hope for the best. Quite honestly, Crysis 2 and 3 aren't even that bad. Better than average shooters.

I'm not going to make excuses for other games. My response was in regard to Crysis.

Fair enough. I got Crysis 3 free with PS Plus and couldn't wait to finish it and move onto the next game. I thought it was very boring. Good graphics that's about it. But yeah maybe I shouldn't blame EA for that after all the game worked when it shipped so they had done their part. But the others like Fifa and BF are inexcusable.

Because who needs games which work properly, right?

FIFA 15 works fine for me

I don't have this massive issue that everyone else finds with EA
