It's a flop. Period. Other games flopping as well doesn't change that. Look at what the first Bayonetta did in Japan and compare it to this.

Your denial is annoying... Your logic is flawed...  Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 released in very different circumstances and conditions... Don't be ignorant.

I'm being ignorant and in denial? Don't make me laugh. The only ones being ignorant and in denial regarding this whole situation are the people trying to uptalk it "oh it's only 1 day uuh 2 days I mean (funny how playeressence corrected that) wait for a whole week","uh the market is different now (360 had less systems sold when the game released in Japan)","it's Nintendo it'll have legs" and all that bullshit is nothing but spin to try and cover up that Bayonetta 2 did shit in Japan.

Yes you are...

Stop with excuses, denial and ignorance...

bold; ignoring IGN I see when they claimed a full week of sales for Bayonetta 2 then corrected it

underline Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 had DMC 4 before Bayonetta which share similarities which help enstablish Hack N Slash fanbase/audience of its type...

italic Original Bayo had legs and 2 is being published and funded by Nintendo and is exclusive to Wii U

bold 2 you are jumping to conclusion and you took the bait of mainstream sites and their spins like with Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze... IGNorant...

Original Bayonetta had two more days and didn't had digital version available at launch...

We don't know digital sales of Bayonetta 2 nor how much it would sold with xtra 2 days... 1000 or even 5000 copies?

Cmon, keep up with lies

So that means Bayo 2 will sell around 397,500 units in Japan alone lifetime (if not a little bit more) based on 101's lifetime vs. initial sellthrough.

I can see this game easily being over 1 mil lifetime global.

No and don't think so

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

It also Sold 39000 times more than my mixtape I recently released in Japan.

53,000 divided by 5,200 = 10.1

10.1 x 39,000 = 397,500.

It will sell better in the U.S. and probably Europe by lifetime's end because it's a hardcore action game and the Wii U is much more popular in Europe and America than it is in Japan.

Doesn't work like that lol, Bayonetta sold 100k more on the ps3 and it's sitting at 210k LTD and the X1 version sold twice as much first week (64k) and it's at 90K LTD lol I don't see how the wii U version of the sequel that sold way less first week than both previous versions would end up selling better than both.

Are you suggestion that x 10.1 isn't always an accurate equation for every videogame ever released?

no making some random relation between bayonetta 2 and wow101

Those stats are just depressing, at this point. x7 sounds great until you see TW101 sold freaking 5200 copies.

I distinctly remember debating with someone on here who said there was no reason to believe Bayonetta 2 would perform any better than Wonderful 101...

Nice to see this really being put into perspective. It's not like Bayonetta 2 was ever going to be the next Mario franchise for Nintendo in sales. It's performance in Japan so far has been just fine. Good to know the negative Nintendo media bias continues though...
