I honestly think MS will pull out of Japan within the next year or two. The numbers are just horrid.

That would be like saying they shouldn´t release in Sweden because sales will be low. Ofcourse they should even if they only have few fans there.

But marketing costs must be a lot higher due to the much much bigger population.

Yes, but you still do it for the fans and for your reputation. Had they decided not to release in Japan, alot of people would critizie that aswell. I suggested in another thread though, that they should treat it as for example Sweden, and not even translating the games. Just do some average marketing and release the machine and it will sell what it sells.

Since you're the vgc expert on smarphones can you please provide a comparison between sony phones and xbone consoles sold? I'm pretty sure sony phones are not selling that bad, it's just that they haven't managed to make the division proofitable. Huge differnce here (unless I'm wrong).
