This is an absolute disaster!!!!

Nintendo will not want to scupper any sales of the soon to be released 3DS version. Hence the reason they have delayed announcing a Wii U date, it will be here for the holidays.

Its also great double advertising as many people will get into the handheld smash (especially in Japan where this thing is going to explode week 1) and may well want to see it in glorious HD when it releases on the WiiU (with real controllers).

Not releasing it this holiday puts Nintendo in a very troubling position that they won't be able to get out of for the rest of the generation.

of course it will release this holiday. Nintendo is not that stupid. And Smash is bigger than Tropical Freeze.

It has to come out because they can't launch amiibo without it and having a toy launch that misses the holiday season is even worse than a big game missing the holiday season.

They will ship the game no matter what come late November, even if some characters/stages are incomplete as a worst case scenario they can add them in later as free DLC.

The reason they're focusing on the 3DS Smash now is because it's coming out first (obviously). Nintendo does this fairly consistently, for example we saw nothing of Yoshi's Wooly World until Yoshi's New Island (3DS) came out first. Once it released, then we got (finally) a new look at Yoshi's Wooly World.

we talk about smash, and not titanfail. a fantastic game will sale at anytime in the year, and for the rest of the gen...

It'll be in by Black Friday. Promise.

Its obviously that Nintendo just wants to focus on the 3DS version for now, because it is releasing in two days in japan and less than a month worldwide...
