Hiding away like a stowaway, Simon managed to sneak away get himself lodged in with all the cargo but he still couldn't manage to get away from all the noise in the cabin. He had no idea how he had gotten himself roped into this mission.

"Why the hell do they need a stealth specialist on a mission like this? Seems perfect for those whack jobs in the other room, with their fingers itching at their triggers before we even land, but me? Something is up. Something has to be up," Simon thought to himself, but what started out as complaints in his head just got him more and more excited.

But then the voices in the other room roared up again and he was back to the same miserable state that he had been in for a while now.

"This better be worth it," he thought.

Max made his way to the cargo bay and approached the figure crouching down in the luggage. A quick scan told him this was one of his teammates.

"What the hell are you doing down here?"

OTR: I might not respond until later tonight.

Groot noticed the slight half-smile Nina gave him. Smiling, that was something Groot hadn't done in a while. His old gang had an accident merely two months ago. Two deaths, His best friend Rocket and Drax, while Star Lord and Gamora became paralyzed. He couldn't save them like last time, and Groot still held a lot of guilt, so he hadn't known happiness for awhile. T.E.C.H's response was cruel. They simply did legal procedures, gave him some monetary compensation and sent him on another damn mission. He hated them, but he hated these aliens even more, so Groot complied. No one seemed to care how Groot was recovering, but even if in just formalities, it was nice to see someone at least pretended to care about him.

Groot smiled back politely then went back to wander in his thoughts reliving that moment over and over again, hoping not to make the same mistake. "I am Groot" he mumbled, which meant he shouldn't have to worry because he can never care for anyone here as much as his old team. So deep in thought, he didn't notice the developing tensions between the other members....

Nina Ek

Nina paid no mind to the oddly speaking man in black and red with a trench coat.  His rambling was incoherent and seemed to feature non sequitors and references lost on her.

She felt far more interested in the silent giant to her right and the feeling of remorse that emanated from him.  She knew that feeling too well, the sense of loss and regret. She gently placed her hand on his branch or arm, she wasn't sure what to refer to it as, and focused deeply in meditation.  He did not resist, seemingly lost in his own thoughts.  She knew he had experienced much, but she struggled to make sense of the fantastic images of talking Raccoons and space travel. She may not have a full picture, but she understood tragedy too well.  Surprised to feel tears welling up in her eyes Nina pulled back and felt panges of guilt for intruding on his memories. She had not expected it to be this easy, then again humans tended to shield thier minds while this being seemed indifferent to her presence.

She wiped her eyes quickly with the back of her hands and sat in silence again.

Simon just glared at Max for a few moments, trying to get a bead on him. "Well, he doesn't seem like one of the loud ones, or one of the crazy ones....and he definitely isn't the tree. I suppose I should at least try to play nice," thought Simon deftly leapt to his feet, the bullets in his pocket rattling around loudly.

"Hello, I'm Simon. Nice to meet you," he said with an outstreched hand and plastic grin, like a used car salesman or something of the like. "Too damn friendly," he thought to himself, spinning away from Max before he had a chance to react.

Turning back to Max, Simon attempted his introduction once again. "Uhh, yeah, hi. Its a little too noisy in the other room for me. What are you doing down here?"

Max sensed Simon's awkwardness and realized he might have come on a bit strong. Certainly his coming down here would seem no less strange than Simon. Simon seemed oddly friendly for someone who chooses to hide away from everyone. Surprisingly genuine too, at least after his initial fumbling attempt at an introduction. He'd expected a more reserved and cautious reaction. He wasn't sure exactly what to make of Simon, but accepted the offered hand in a firm handshake.

"I see. I can empathize. I tried to get a little rest above, but between racing thoughts and all the noise up there, I gave up. The name's Max. I'll be honest, I never saw you leave the cabin and would never have found you down here if not for my thermal sensors. When I detected you I became suspicious that we had a potentially hostile stowaway, and came to investigate. You're quite skilled in stealth, it seems. That should come in handy in a mission like this in unfamiliar territory where we really don't know what we're up against, or even who the enemy is. All these heavily armed units will be useless without any intelligence on what our targets are. Any human we see could be an innocent bystander or one of the aliens."

Jill woke up and found Chris missing. They had been sleeping together (not in the sexual way) for several days. She wondered where he went. She took out her backpack (the one she was wearing when she escaped Raccon City) and searched for her phone. When she got it, she looked at the pictures from the old times.

After this, feeling hungry, she went to the kitchen to make a sandwich. In there, she found Chris opening can of Corned Beef with his bare hands, not bothering to use a can opener. She lookes for some bread and got some ham to make an infamous Jill Sandwich.

As Jill saw that abomination, she screamed "My eyes!" , and shot a rocket at it.

"That's the worse Biohazard I've ever seen!", said Chris as he aimed his own Rocket Launcher at the monster.

Katya Petrov

Katya laughed earnestly at Geronimo's question, closing her bible and standing up.

"This team is quite funny!" she exclaimed as she carefully moved across the room.

As if on impulse, various strands of wire strewn throughtout the ship that had once been invisible now sparkled.

Deftly, Katya used her scapel to cut the wire and clear them from the room.

<Considering, most of the people here are too experience to trust me or too crazy to care. Its quite refreshing to be myself for a change. They can live for now.>

"I honestly think, T.E.C.H was smart for making this team, Ms. Eck, is that right? Call me crazy, but we are going into hell on earth after all"

OTR: Thoughts do not have quotes. Katya also thinks in Russian.
