Yeah it's always extra content these days or a patch or whatever because the masterpiece can't be made in one go anymore.

can you tell what is missingt in MK8? Because the game is complete, at least to me. And that's why I didn't care to pay to this dlc

I thought that the character selection was weak, Battle Mode was an afterthought, and the item balance was abysmal.  The update fixed the first problem.  Additional DLC might come out to fix the rest...

Battle Mode sure is great s**t. But 30 characters sure is not weak [even all the Koopalings annoyed me as hell].

Mario Maker is a full Mario game?  That's the first time that I've heard that.  Oh, and people went on and on about how the gamer made levels were better than the actual ones in LBP so what does that tell you?  Have you ever played that game?  I did once for about ten minutes and that was more than enough for me.

Wait lmao. So mario maker isn't a full game because it's not a strictly a platformer? That's a laugh. The POINT is to make the levels. You buy Mario Maker to, wait for it, make Mario. It's a game for creators. You don't get to cherry pick what genres and catagories constitute as full games. You want a Mario platformer? Buy one of the dosen that already exist. Want to make one? But this. The gamer made levels were better than the premade levels in a game about making levels!? What!? WHAT!?!? WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Mario Kart 8 already is a masterpiece in one go. Now it's a master piece, plus 16 tracks, 8 karts, and 6 characters. Huzzah!

good lord, normally i would be really dissapointed that they're adding non-Mario characters (especially when the original roster was garbage and lacked must-haves like Diddy and Bowser Jr.) but i can't believe Nintendo is actually publishing such extensive DLC for a game that i don't even care.

Nintendo doesn't know you don't care about the game. It's currently the most popular game on Wii U, because I doubt anyone is still playing New Super Mario U.

oh no i meant that i don't even care about adding non-Mario characters because i'm so happy that Nintendo is publishing such extensive DLC.

And Pink Gold Peach! I mean, who the HELL thought that was a good idea?!

It would have save me 12 bucks.  I think that's pretty cool.  Sorry if I want all of a games content in the game in the first place and not to have to pay more more for the rest later.  I spoke against DLC when Microsoft, Sony, etc, etc did it and am not going to be a hypocrite and change my tune when Nintendo decides to jump aboard with this strategy.

I also like full games that are already made by the developer and not DIY crap like Little Big Planet or Mario Maker...

You know what really would have saved you 12 bucks? It's 48 bucks on Amazon. There are you happy?

I paid 30eur for MK8, so I'll gladly buy the DLC; specially this year, since we get the additional virtual 10% discount of the ddp.

Amen.

Games based on User Generated Content fail because the average gamer has the design skills of a kitchen sponge.

That said, I believe Mario Kart 8 felt complete from the beginning, and this DLC simply makes a great game greater.

The first LBP sold 5m copies. How is that failing? And who cares about the average gamer? Games like this are made so that people with tremendous creative talent have a place to design and show off that talent to the masses.

I meant quality failure, not commericial failure. Like indie games, finding quality in UGC is like sifting through mountains of feces to find the few worthwhile tidbits.
