Personally I will say one thing, I do love that the sex part keeps getting brought up and not the ACTUAL ISSUE the take downs and censorship of any discussion on the topic.

The sex part is immoral, but it should be the bribery aspect and selective coverage that riles up gamers.

I think the entire thing has just been blown stupidly out of proportion via an escalation of both sides.

I think one side originally had some gripes about the campaign to get Depression Quest greenlit, the pro-zoe camp accused them (rightly or wrongly, probably a mixture of both) of sexism. As a result of this the other side got defensive and dug up more dirt to justify position, then the Zoe camp launched more accusations of sexism and posts were deleted on Reddit which further drove the other sides' suspicions of being sensored and so on.

I think the thing has just grown to the point where the original players like Zoe matter very little anymore and it's two sides (involving thousands of people!) deeply entrenched in their views that are trying to scream loudly at each other through twitter, msg boards etc.

She made it public business when she decided to spread her legs for any guy willing to make her look good. Of course all of the "feminists" who have no idea what feminism actually is about defend her because "that's what feminists are supposed to do right?" This girl is just a failure at game making, relationships, and life. Last time I checked being a slut (and a fairly unattractive one at that, kudos to her bf(ex bf?) for being able to stomach that) isn't a side effect of depression-_-

Would not bang, so I really don't care about this "hot-button" issue in gaming. I've never heard of her or her game either and I don't visit Kotaku. It just seems like such a minor thing to me considering there are more important problems with gaming media to be mad about. Like the fact that it sucks in general.

The short answer is that it's not proven in any way whatsoever that she "slept with 5 journalists for press coverage", and the only reason people believe it is, being the mass psychosis of 4chan's /pol/ and /v/ making a bunch of "informative" .gifs and youtube videos. Mostly because they like the drama, and possibly because they hate so called Social Justice Warriors.

The only thing that's proven as far as I know is that Quinn cheated on her boyfriend, their relationship faltered, and he got really, really pissed and posted about it on the internet.

The rest of it is no different than say CWC, Jessi Slaughter, DeGrippo shutting down ED, Boxxy - stuff which was a nice controversy on 4chan, good for a few weeks of epic threads, and not much more.

In other words, if you truly believe that you have received solid proof for Quinn having gotten quid-pro-quo for sex from the pastebins and .gifs you read there, then the obvious question is if you also believe that the world is run by a cabal of jews and cultural marxists, only resisted by übernazi Ben Garrison and his merry band of nazis, that 3d is pig disgusting and what have you.

I think 4chan is a fun place. When we get to the point where all of the internet starts aping 4chan then that's more than one bridge too many.
