It really is okay for them to just say its because of money. This contrived answer about how Microsoft will nurture the IP in a way its fans can not is simple beyond belief. No one believe that Tomb Raider is only capable of reaching some development Nirvana on the Xbox One. Its really embarrassing to see them money hatted and then scrable to come up with a lie. They mock the intelligence of the gaming community.

I don't get square enix.. they really are fucking fucked up.. they go on the PS stage, and tell everyone to be excited.. and they announced FF V XIII cancelled for ps3.. and now multiplatform for nexgen.. and announce that KH III is in development..

now they release a franchise known to be a playstation ip.. exclusively on xbox.. it's like every since THE LAST REMNANT, square has been sucking microsoft's D!ck 24/7

Anyhow, time to put this debate to rest already. Its coming to PS4 eventually.

It could have come to PS4 exclusivesly, but Sony spent money on Destiny DLC, No Man's Sky, and other deals that confuse people about what platforms games are coming to.

well ps4 owners get to play uncharted them also get to play TR later on with added exclusive features dlc etc

Probaly not. I think MS will publish the game and pay for the development. My guess is xbox then pc a year later.

I really doubt they did that. i belive They were scared of Uncharted and instead of delaying their game they got Microsoft into giving them a pointless (to Microsoft) exclusivity deal.

They'll release at the same time as uncharted, go relatively unaffected by uncharted, pocket Microsoft's cash, and than release it later on the PS3/PS4/PC safe from uncharted.

They know if they dont release on the PS4, they will be losing a sizable chunk of the market, they are not stupid espcially now that the PS4 is outselling the Xbox one 2:1. All past Tomb Raider sold more on the PS4 anyway even when the market share was even between them, but going toe to toe with Uncharted is something they felt they had to avoid at all cost. Both Uncharted 2 and 3 sold 7million+ copies a piece on one console by 2013. Tomb Raider clocked 6.5 million on PS3, PC, and Xbox one. This Crap with MS just helps them save face.

I also belive that is why squareenix made the deal with MS. Ms pays for the game, does the marketing etc. To be realistic, ps4 owners would prefer u4 than tomb raider(both for the holiday season)
